Projects will involve all trades. This is for a General Contractor based in midtown Manhattan. This role requires someone who has experience leading a project comprising of 15-30 sub-contractors/vendors. This role involves the management of administrative elements (C.O.’s, RFI’s, 2-week look aheads, design revisions) to keep the work moving forward. REQUIRED SKILLS: Must have capabilities to create a project schedule informed by knowledge and experience of how to build. An organized mindset that can identify the vital materials/trades when initiating the submittal and review process. Bachelor's degree in engineering or construction management preferred. Experience with Procore. People management skills to effectively lead, guide, and problem solve. You’ll be the conductor of an orchestra of trades, staff, Architects, Engineers and responsible for keeping the music in tune. Capable of leading a team of subcontractors and vendors (proven experience in this capacity). Skilled at anticipating the needs of the project and communicating with the building management company. Effective in driving a general contracting project toward action to maintain the flow of a schedule. Experience in controlling a projects general conditions costs. Highly organized, capable of following established company processes.
