The role will manage contractor selection, bidding, site evaluation, project execution, budgets, timelines, quality standards, and regulatory compliance. Responsibilities: Lead and oversee construction activities across the pre-construction, construction, and post-construction phases. Evaluate and recommend contractors based on cost, quality, reliability, technical capability, and project requirements. Conduct site inspections, measurements, technical assessments, and feasibility evaluations. Prepare or coordinate the preparation of construction plans, technical documents, permits, and other project requirements. Manage the bidding process, including pre-bid meetings, bid evaluations, contractor coordination, and project award recommendations. Oversee project execution to ensure compliance with approved timelines, budgets, specifications, and quality standards. Ensure compliance with applicable building codes, government regulations, permits, environmental requirements, safety standards, and insurance requirements. Develop and maintain construction standards, technical specifications, and material guidelines. Manage contractor and supplier accreditation, performance evaluation, and compliance. Coordinate store construction and facility-related concerns with internal stakeholders, lessors, contractors, and other external parties. Prepare project cost analyses and provide recommendations for contractor and project awards. Monitor project budgets, expenses, billing requests, and overall financial performance. Oversee store fit-outs, renovations, repairs, maintenance, and closure projects. Identify and resolve construction-related issues and ensure timely implementation of corrective actions. Conduct regular site visits and provide project updates and recommendations to management. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. At least 5 years of experience in site evaluation, planning, and construction project management. At least 2–3 years of supervisory or managerial experience in construction or related project management functions. Proven experience in F&B, FMCG, or food retail environments is required. Strong knowledge of building codes, safety standards, government regulations, and compliance requirements. Experience managing construction permits, licenses, and regulatory approvals. Ability to manage project timelines, budgets, contractors, and overall execution. Strong knowledge of cost estimation, budgeting, cost analysis, and project financial monitoring. Proven experience working with contractors, suppliers, consultants, lessors, and other external stakeholders. Strong ability to maintain quality standards and regulatory compliance throughout project implementation. Experience in store fit-out, renovation, maintenance, and closure projects is an advantage. Licensed Architect or Engineer is an advantage. Strong communication, coordination, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
