Construction Manager

A leading oil & gas manufacturing company is looking for an experienced Construction Manager

The Construction Manager (Fabrication and Fitouts) is responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of yard operations to ensure the safe, timely, and cost-effective execution of construction projects. This role is pivotal in aligning profitability of Modular Building business, operational activities with project schedules, budget constraints, and quality standards, while maximizing the productivity of labour, equipment, and materials. Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.

Minimum Qualifications: Graduate/Diploma

Minimum Experience: 15 years post qualification experience in a Fitouts (Fabrication-Architectural,

HVAC, Electrical, Instrumentation, Plumbing, Testing, Commissioning and Site Erection projects

Environment.

Construction Management & Execution

• Deliver all projects safely, on schedule and within the budget meeting the client specification, codes and standards.
• Effectively manages the factors of construction/production jobs execution i.e. human resources, material, tools and equipment, yard space, site coordination and all other available resources to deliver the project at highest level of productivity and efficiency.
• Ensures that all materials, tools and equipment, resources and services are planned and made available in time to maximize capacity and resource utilization and minimize wastage and downtime.
• Actively participates in planning, scheduling and monitoring of the projects and (FMS jobs, if needed for site services) with the Project, QHSE team, Subcontractors, third party agencies and Clients to ensure on time delivery and eliminating rework.
• Ensure that all company requirements, expectations, goals and objectives are clearly understood and communicated to the Construction/ Production team and the delivery performance, compliance and achievement is reported back on daily, weekly and monthly basis to align with the Operations business plan.
• Provide inputs - the store should be mentioned a minimum stock of materials and consumables based on past six-month consumptions / forecast.
• Ensure the construction team shall maintain good workmanship standards within the workshop/site - report any errors through the improvement method.
• Implementation of a planned preventive maintenance system jobs, to comply with all appropriate regulations/safety requirements and to maintain maintenance records.
• Collaborate with engineering and provide necessary inputs during the pre-engineering stage to avoid clashes and mismatches in constructability based on previous lessons learned.
• Responsible for providing solutions to different complex problems at the site/yard as per the standards and approved spec.
• Coordination with QS/Project/Engineering to establish VOR/CORs as needed using the Re-work Instruction Form.
• Approving necessary site modifications in coordination with the other discipline works, if there is no impact on procedures/specification, cost, and time.
