# Compliance Specialist **Tasheel Law Firm** · Riyadh · `On-site` 🕒 **Статус:** *Опубликовано: вчера* · *Источник: Indeed* --- ### About the Role Location: Riyadh, Saudi Arabia Industry: Aviation Leasing Level: Manager Availability: Immediate Role Summary: The Compliance Specialist will support the Compliance & Risk function in establishing and operating a practical, risk-based compliance framework for an aviation leasing business. The role will be responsible for maintaining the compliance universe and regulatory obligations, executing compliance monitoring activities, performing KYC and counterparty due diligence, supporting sanctions and AML controls, and tracking compliance issues through remediation and closure. The role requires strong hands-on experience in compliance monitoring, regulatory change management, KYC/AML, sanctions screening, policy implementation, and management reporting. Experience in aviation, aircraft leasing, financial services, or another cross-border and highly regulated environment is preferred. Key Responsibilities: · Develop, maintain, and periodically update the Compliance Universe covering applicable laws, regulations, regulatory expectations, contractual compliance obligations, internal policies, and relevant aviation and leasing requirements. · Maintain a Compliance Obligations Register that clearly identifies each requirement, responsible owner, required control/activity, evidence, monitoring frequency, and reporting obligation. · Develop and execute a risk-based Compliance Monitoring Plan, including thematic reviews, sample testing, control validation, documentation of findings, and follow-up of corrective actions. · Perform KYC and counterparty due diligence for lessees, customers, suppliers, brokers, intermediaries, beneficial owners, directors, and other relevant business partners, including enhanced due diligence where required. · Conduct and document sanctions, PEP, adverse media, and restricted-party screening, investigate potential matches, and escalate matters in line with approved procedures. · Support compliance reviews of aircraft leasing transactions and commercial arrangements, with focus on counterparty, jurisdiction, sanctions, integrity, anti-bribery, and other relevant compliance risks. · Monitor regulatory developments and changes, assess applicability and business impact, communicate new requirements to stakeholders, and track implementation of required actions. · Support the implementation and monitoring of requirements relating to anti-bribery and corruption, conflicts of interest, gifts and hospitality, whistleblowing, data protection, competition, sanctions, and other applicable compliance areas. · Maintain key compliance registers and documentation, including KYC files, regulatory obligations, compliance monitoring records, conflicts declarations, gifts and hospitality, breaches, incidents, and remediation trackers. · Identify, assess, document, and escalate compliance breaches, control gaps, exceptions, and emerging compliance risks, and coordinate with relevant functions on remediation plans. · Prepare periodic compliance dashboards and management reports covering monitoring results, KYC status, regulatory developments, incidents, overdue actions, and key compliance risk indicators. · Support the review and enhancement of compliance policies, procedures, templates, risk assessments, training materials, and awareness programs. · Provide compliance support to internal audit, external audit, management committees, and regulatory or stakeholder information requests, as applicable. Qualifications & Experience: · Bachelor's degree in Law, Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Risk Management, Compliance, or a related discipline. · Typically 8+ years of relevant experience in compliance, risk, AML/KYC, regulatory compliance, or a related control function, with sufficient experience to operate at Manager level. · Hands-on experience in compliance monitoring, regulatory obligations mapping, KYC/EDD, sanctions screening, issue management, and compliance reporting. · Experience in aviation, aircraft leasing, financial services, or a multinational/cross-border business environment is preferred. · Good understanding of Saudi Arabian regulatory requirements and the ability to assess cross-border compliance obligations relevant to counterparties and transactions. · Professional certifications such as CAMS, ICA, CCEP, GRCP, or equivalent are advantageous. Key Skills & Competencies: · Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with Finance, Legal, Commercial, Operations, Risk, and senior management. · Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word; familiarity with compliance screening, workflow, or GRC tools is an advantage. · Professional fluency in English: Candidate Profile: A hands-on compliance professional who can independently build, operate, and improve core compliance activities in a fast-paced aviation leasing environment.
