Skills Development and Employment ensures that people with disabilities find and keep meaningful jobs by matching them with employers seeking qualified job candidates. In addition, they offer support with assessments, rehabilitation and child and youth programs. The Opportunity: We are currently seeking a full-time, permanent Community Programs Coordinator (Bilingual) to join our Skills Development and Employment (SDE) team. This is a fully remote, national position, and we welcome candidates from anywhere in Canada. Bilingualism in English and French is mandatory. The Community Programs Coordinator will provide administrative and program support for the SkillingUp program, helping ensure that applications, client services, program data, and day-to-day program activities are completed accurately and on time. This role will also provide direct support to adult and youth learners, helping create an accessible, inclusive, and positive learning experience. The ideal candidate is highly organized, comfortable working with technology, and passionate about supporting individuals with disabilities and other equity-deserving groups. Responsibilities: - Receive, review, and process client applications and program documentation. - Provide administrative and day-to-day support to the SkillingUp team. - Coordinate webinars and assist with program data collection and reporting. - Support volunteer recruitment, onboarding, and monitoring activities. - Maintain accurate client records, data entry, and records management processes. - Explain program requirements, workflows, and platforms to clients. - Assist clients with registration, progress check-ins, exam assignments, and help desk inquiries. - Provide front-line customer service through phone calls and virtual meetings, with occasional in-person interactions. - Monitor and track learner progress and identify barriers to successful program completion. - Build positive and supportive relationships with learners and volunteers. - Work with the program team to develop and implement accommodations, including assistive technologies and alternative formats. - Advocate for learner needs and provide feedback to improve program accessibility. - Contribute to program evaluations by providing feedback on learner and volunteer experiences and outcomes. - Participate in team meetings and collaborate with the program team to improve program delivery and the overall learner and volunteer experience. - Troubleshoot and resolve minor IT issues. - Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications: - Fluency in French is mandatory. - Post-secondary education or equivalent experience in a related field. - Experience in customer-facing roles involving administrative and/or IT responsibilities. - Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office and the ability to quickly learn and use new software and technology. - Experience working with individuals with disabilities or other equity-deserving groups is an asset. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare professional and grammatically accurate emails, letters, and other communications. - Ability to troubleshoot minor IT issues. - Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team. - Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage high volumes of work and changing priorities. - Ability to work efficiently and accurately under pressure. - Strong attention to detail and accuracy. - Flexible and adaptable to changing program and organizational needs. - Strong commitment to inclusion, accessibility, and equitable opportunities for individuals with disabilities. - A Criminal Record Check and Vulnerable Sector Check are required as a condition of employment.
