# Community Investments and Contracts Project and Program Manager (PPM II) **King County, WA** · Seattle, WA 98104 · `On-site` 🕒 **Статус:** *Опубликовано: вчера* · *Источник: Indeed* --- ### About the Role Summary The Department of Community and Human Services values diverse perspectives and life experiences. The Department encourages people of all backgrounds to apply, including Black, Indigenous, and People of Color, immigrants, refugees, women, LGBTQ, people with disabilities, veterans, and those with lived experiences. King County's Department of Community and Human Services (DCHS) provides equitable opportunities for people to be healthy, happy, self-reliant and connected to community. The Adult Services Division (ASD) of DCHS works in partnership with communities to develop, support, fund, and provide human services programs that help King County residents live healthy, stable, connected, and empowered lives. ASD deploys 55 strategies across five major result areas to disrupt disparities experienced among three core population groups. Result Areas: - Healthy Living - Social Engagement - Housing Stability - Financial Stability - Service System Access and Improvement Priority Populations - Veterans, servicemembers and their families - Older adults and their caregivers - Resilient communities – those experiencing historical and persisting barriers and disparities - See page 17 of the VSHSL 2024-2029 Implementation Plan for an expanded understanding of “Resilient Communities” prioritized in the levy. ASD’s work is supported through the voter-approved Veterans, Seniors, and Human Services Levy. The division's work also includes efforts to strengthen connections within, and improve access to, the human services system Job Overview The Community Investments and Contracts Project and Program Manager (PPM II) is a journey-level professional role within the Adult Services Division. This position independently manages a portfolio of human services contracts and supports the development and implementation of procurements funded through the Veterans, Seniors, and Human Services Levy (VSHSL) and other Department-administered resources. PPMII assignments support one or both of ASD’s Result Area, Levy Strategy, and Priority Population program and project management teams: - Community Investments and Provider Supports, supporting investments serving resilient communities, and older adults and their caregivers. - Veterans Initiatives and Direct and Contracted Service Strategies, supporting veterans, servicemembers, and their families. These positions help ASD advance the commitments of the VSHSL 2024-2029 Implementation Plan, which invests public funds in human service providers and direct-service initiatives that improve stability, health, connection, and community well-being. The PPM II plays a critical role in advancing ASD’s commitment to equity and disparity reduction by supporting providers, monitoring performance and outcomes, and identifying opportunities to strengthen service delivery across King County. Working within one or more of the VSHSL’s result, strategy, and/or population areas, the PPM II is responsible for ensuring contracts are effectively implemented, providers are supported, and public funds are stewarded in alignment with County policies and community outcomes. This role is part of the backbone of ASD’s service strategy and contract management system, helping execute the full lifecycle of stewarding the planning of service through to public contracting—including procurement development, contract execution, provider engagement, performance monitoring, analysis of impact, and continuous improvement. As part of this work, PPM IIs will also help develop and advance ASD’s Voice of Provider and Voice of Community listening and learning efforts. These efforts are intended to strengthen how ASD learns from service providers and communities, particularly communities experiencing disparities or systemic barriers that VSHSL investments are intended to address, and uses that learning to inform program implementation, service strategies, interventions, and continuous improvement. PPM IIs may support listening sessions, provider and community engagement activities, partnership development, synthesis of feedback and emerging themes, and communication of findings. They will help connect what ASD learns from providers and communities with contract and program performance information so that implementation decisions are informed by both quantitative and qualitative evidence. The position works independently while partnering closely with and reporting directly to PPM IIIs (working leads), PPM IVs (result area and strategy leads), ASD Policy and Engagement leads, and other internal teams. This recruitment is intended to fill up to three (3) Career Service PPM II and up to two (2) Term-Limited Temporary (TLT) positions. The final number of positions filled will depend on the applicant pool, candidate qualifications and experience, and alignment with ASD’s priority business needs. In addition to filling current vacancies, this recruitment may establish a pool of qualified candidates for additional Community Investments and Contracts PPM II positions that become available within the next six (6) months. WORK SCHEDULE/CONDITIONS: If hired into a non-Career Service position, the position will be a Special Duty Assignment (SDA) or Term-Limited Temporary (TLT) anticipated to end 3yrs after hire date, but subject to change dependent on operational need. This position is scheduled to work 40 hours per week, Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm. This position meets the provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act and is overtime eligible with supervisory pre-approval. This position is represented by PROTEC17-Non-Sups Staff.
