This role combines Commercial Lines marketing and placement with new business development. You'll manage inbound opportunities, work directly with prospective clients, and partner with Producers and Account Executives to develop coverage solutions and bring business through the quoting and binding process. What you'll do: - Manage inbound commercial insurance leads, respond to inquiries, qualify opportunities and maintain consistent follow-up from the first conversation through binding. - Discuss each client's business operations and exposures, identify coverage needs and explain suitable insurance options. - Gather and review applications and supporting information, resolve missing details and prepare complete submissions for carrier consideration. - Match risks with appropriate carrier appetites and obtain quotes through carrier platforms and underwriter relationships for new and renewal business. - Compare proposals for coverage, exclusions, limits, pricing and terms, and negotiate with underwriters to secure competitive options. - Present quotes and coverage recommendations, answer client questions and help prospective clients make informed purchasing decisions. - Coordinate binding instructions and review quotes, binders and placement documentation for accuracy. - Track submissions and outstanding quotes, keeping clients, Producers and Account Executives informed of progress. - Maintain productive carrier relationships and stay current on underwriting guidelines, market appetites and available coverage solutions. What you'll bring: - 3+ years of Commercial Lines insurance experience within an independent agency or brokerage, ideally involving marketing, quoting, placement or new business. - Strong understanding of commercial coverage and multi-carrier insurance programs. - Experience working with national and regional insurance carriers. - Ability to evaluate commercial risks, negotiate coverage terms and guide prospective clients through the quoting and placement process. - Effective negotiation and written/verbal communication skills. - Strong organization, accuracy and follow-through. - Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
