Coveted Financial Services is seeking an experienced banking professional to join our growing Fractional CFO team as a Commercial Banking Advisor . This position is ideal for a former commercial banker, credit officer, portfolio manager, lender, or banking executive who enjoys working with business clients and wants to remain professionally engaged in a flexible, part-time capacity. Unlike a traditional banking role, this position focuses on helping business owners understand their financial position, improve access to capital, maintain compliance with lending requirements, and make informed financial decisions that support long-term growth. What You'll Do As a Commercial Banking Advisor, you will work alongside our Fractional CFO team to support small and mid-sized businesses by: Advising business owners on financial performance, cash flow, debt structure, and growth planning. Reviewing financial statements, forecasts, budgets, cash flow reports, and key performance metrics. Analyzing credit quality, debt service coverage, liquidity, leverage, and covenant compliance. Helping clients better understand lender expectations and what drives credit decisions. Assisting with lender reporting packages, covenant tracking, borrowing base reporting, and financing requests. Identifying financial risks and opportunities that may impact a client's ability to borrow, invest, or grow. Providing practical recommendations to help clients improve financial reporting and become more bankable. Working collaboratively with business owners, CPAs, bankers, and the Coveted Financial Services advisory team. Supporting strategic initiatives such as growth planning, acquisitions, expansion opportunities, and capital projects. Preferred Background We are particularly interested in candidates with experience in: Commercial Banking Business Banking C&I Lending SBA Lending Credit Analysis Portfolio Management Commercial Underwriting Cash Flow and Financial Statement Analysis Experience working with small to mid-sized businesses is strongly preferred. Previous experience in a CFO, accounting, consulting, or financial advisory capacity is beneficial but not required. Qualifications Strong understanding of commercial credit and financial statement analysis. Ability to analyze and interpret financial statements, forecasts, and cash flow reports. Experience evaluating debt service coverage, liquidity, leverage, working capital, and financial covenants. Ability to explain financial and banking concepts in a practical and understandable manner. Strong communication and relationship management skills. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
