# COLD STORAGE PROJECT ENGINEER **KrafBuilders Inc.** · Makati · `On-site` 🕒 **Статус:** *Опубликовано: 3 дня назад* · *Источник: Indeed* --- ### About the Role We are looking for a skilled and experienced Cold Storage Project Engineer to support the design, installation, commissioning, operation, and maintenance of cold storage and refrigeration systems. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that refrigeration and temperature-controlled facilities operate efficiently, reliably, safely, and in accordance with project specifications and applicable standards. Key Responsibilities Design, review, and oversee the installation of cold storage and industrial refrigeration systems . Develop and review refrigeration system layouts, equipment specifications, piping arrangements, and technical drawings. Coordinate the installation and commissioning of: Refrigeration systems Compressors and condensing units Evaporators and condensers Refrigeration piping Insulated panels and cold room systems Temperature and humidity control systems Electrical and control systems Monitor refrigeration performance, temperature stability, energy consumption, and system efficiency. Conduct site inspections and ensure that installation works comply with approved plans, specifications, and safety requirements. Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, consultants, and other engineering disciplines. Troubleshoot refrigeration, electrical, mechanical, and control-system issues. Assist in equipment selection, technical evaluation, and supplier/vendor coordination. Review technical submittals, shop drawings, method statements, testing procedures, and commissioning documents. Prepare technical reports, inspection reports, testing and commissioning records, and maintenance documentation. Support preventive and corrective maintenance activities for refrigeration and cold storage equipment. Ensure compliance with applicable refrigeration, electrical, occupational safety, environmental, and building standards . Identify technical risks and recommend practical solutions to improve system reliability and operational efficiency. Provide technical support during project turnover and facility operations. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Refrigeration Engineering , or a related field. Proven experience in cold storage, industrial refrigeration, cold chain, food processing, logistics, or temperature-controlled facilities . Strong knowledge of refrigeration systems, including compressors, evaporators, condensers, expansion devices, refrigeration piping, and controls. Experience with cold room design, installation, testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, P&IDs, equipment specifications, and technical documents. Strong knowledge of project coordination, site supervision, and contractor management. Good analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and problem-solving skills. Willing to work on-site and travel to project locations when required. Salary will be based on the candidate’s experience and qualifications. Preferred Qualifications Licensed Professional Engineer or relevant engineering certification. Experience with large-scale cold storage or industrial refrigeration projects . Knowledge of ammonia (NH₃), CO₂, or other industrial refrigeration systems. Experience with PLC, BMS, SCADA, or refrigeration control systems. Knowledge of energy-efficient refrigeration technologies and cold storage optimization. Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in cold storage and refrigeration projects , with hands-on experience in refrigeration system installation, testing, commissioning, troubleshooting, and project/site supervision.
