- Short Job Description for Recruitment
Position: CNC Operator Industry: Shipbuilding, Ship Repair, and Maintenance Required Experience: Minimum 4 Years
Job Summary:
Responsible for operating CNC machines to cut, drill, mill, and process steel plates, aluminum sheets, and other materials used in shipbuilding and marine fabrication. The role involves interpreting engineering drawings, setting up machines, verifying cutting dimensions, monitoring machine performance, and ensuring components meet project specifications. Candidates must have at least four years of relevant shipyard experience, practical knowledge of CNC machine operation, and a strong understanding of fabrication drawings, material processing, and workplace safety procedures.
- Key Skills for CV Screening
When screening CVs for this position, prioritize candidates with the following skills:
- Shipyard or marine fabrication experience
- CNC plasma cutting machine operation
- CNC laser cutting machine operation
- CNC drilling and milling
- Steel plate and aluminum sheet processing
- Engineering drawing interpretation
- CAD/CAM software knowledge
- CNC machine setup and troubleshooting
- Cutting parameter adjustment
- Dimensional measurement and quality inspection
- Material utilization and waste reduction
- Shipbuilding and hull fabrication knowledge
Recruitment recommendation: Prioritize candidates with at least four years of hands-on experience operating CNC cutting machines in a shipyard or marine fabrication workshop.
