Clinical Health Scientist

This is a part-time, as-needed hourly. This is a remote position.

We are seeking a Clinical Health Scientist to join our Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S) team. This is an exciting opportunity for an entrepreneurial and highly motivated professional who combines hands-on clinical experience with strong scientific, analytical, and consulting skills.

Working alongside physician consultants and senior project managers, you will apply your clinical and scientific knowledge to complex questions involving human health. Our experts advise a diverse client base, including legal and insurance firms, on matters involving pharmaceuticals, drugs of abuse, infectious diseases, and environmental and occupational exposures.

This early to mid-career level clinical health scientist performs professional medical-related consulting services for a wide range of clients, including legal and insurance firms. The work requires a professional knowledge of medical and scientific principles and methods applied in a clinical setting. We are seeking a candidate with a Registered Nurse or Physician's Assistant license. A minimum of 3 years clinical experience in a clinic or hospital is required.

Job Responsibilities

• Support projects under the guidance of a Physician Consultant and a Senior Project Manager
• Collaborate with team members to ensure application of medical and scientific principles to address issues relating to human health
• Research, critically evaluate, and summarize medical and scientific literature and data
• Contribute to, and where appropriate, lead the preparation of scientific reports, presentations, and manuscript
• Manage multiple priorities effectively while demonstrating excellent analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and time management skill
• Communicate complex medical and scientific information clearly through excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
• Proficiency with Adobe Acrobat Pro

Required

• Registered Nurse or Physician's Assistant license
• Clinical experience in a hospital or clinical setting
• Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving capabilities
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organisational and time-management skills
• An entrepreneurial mindset, intellectual curiosity, and willingness to tackle varied and unfamiliar challenges

Physical and Mental Job Qualifications

• This position may require rapid response out of normal business hours and weekend work. Local travel during the business day (e.g., for library research) may be required.

A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is $85 per hour. The base salary offered will vary depending on a wide range of factors including, but not limited to, experience, skills, training, location, and the scope of the role.
