You'll take messy, fast-moving workflows and turn them into systems that are simple, teachable, and scalable, without losing the human care that defines Nowadays. What you'll do 80% of your time will focus on event operations and client communication Own events end-to-end simultaneously, including clear written + verbal on-brand client communication Own and evolve the end-to-end ops flow for running events, from first request to post-event wrap Be the point person for prioritizing urgent vs non-urgent ops issues Turn tribal knowledge into clear documentation, onboarding, and templates that anyone can use The remaining 20% of your time will focus on building for scale Build scalable playbooks for: running a single complex event start-to-finish, and managing many events in parallel Partner closely with engineering to: translate customer feedback and bugs into clear product requirements and actionable tickets, and help test, validate, and refine tools before launch Create and maintain internal resources: ops onboarding docs, and client-facing guides and templates for planning offsites Continuously identify what should be simplified, automated, or eliminated What we're looking for You consistently put clients first, understanding that this can sometimes require late nights or weekend work You can juggle multiple workstreams and know how to prioritize quickly You're excellent at turning complexity into clarity You care deeply about process, but never at the expense of momentum Extreme attention to detail You're comfortable working across ops, product, dev, sales, and clients You communicate clearly, thoughtfully, and with good judgment You like building systems that other people can run You want to shape how a company operates, not just follow a playbook Bonus points Startup zero-to-one experience Experience working with clients + owning client relationships Strong intuition for customer experience and boundaries Experience writing clear tickets in tools like Linear or Jira Comfort with basic SQL or data analysis to answer operational questions Comfort using AI/tools to replace manual, repetitive work Other details Location In-person in San Francisco Perks Free lunch + dinner Quarterly team offsites (yes, we went to the White Lotus S3 hotel in Thailand), and exclusive access to top venues and events Monthly fitness stipend Health insurance 12 weeks paid parental leave Generous PTO with required time off to recharge High ownership, autonomy, and direct access to founders Access to top venues, events, and travel experiences Compensation Range: $90K - $130K
