About RK Media

RK Media is a dynamic organization representing Christian non-profit ministries who use radio, television, podcasts and digital media to reach their audience. As a full-service agency, we serve our ministry partners through the production of top-quality Bible teaching, talk and inspirational broadcasts and podcasts that include strategic fundraising campaigns and promotions. We also serve as the direct liaison between non-profit ministries, the radio stations and other outlets that carry their programs.

RK Media offers a fast-paced, collaborative work environment with potential for both personal and professional growth. We value individuals who wish to make a direct impact in the mission of Christian non-profit ministries through the media industry. We believe that when team members find value and meaning in their work, they experience success and significance. Learn more at rkmedia.co.

The role

We're hiring someone who turns RK's data into clear answers for our ministry partners, using a variety of tools including AI innovations to get there faster. You'll know what the numbers say, explain what to do about them, and help the rest of RK work smarter.

Most of your time (about 70%) goes to insights and reporting: producing and improving the reports our partners rely on, using AI to automate where needed, building cross-ministry benchmarks, and bringing those insights into partner conversations alongside our account leads. About 20% of your time goes to building AI workflows across RK. The rest is team meetings, learning, and projects for other RK teams.

You don't need to be a data scientist or a programmer. You do need to be good with numbers, fluent with AI, and someone colleagues and partners trust.

What you'll do

Insights and reporting (about 70%)

  • Take over and improve RK's current reporting for ministry partners, including monthly financial reports, station data requests, and social media analytics reports.
  • Turn one-off partner reports into a consistent RK reporting service that partners can rely on.
  • Fully own RK's cross-ministry benchmarks, with feedback from senior leadership: what "good" looks like by channel, and how each ministry compares.
  • Build those benchmarks into partner reports, so every ministry understands their experience in a broader context.
  • Manage and organize RK's internal data: understand what data we have, where it lives, and how to keep it clean and usable.
  • Join partner calls as needed alongside the account leads and the Media Services team.
  • Dig past the direct request: understand what led to it and where the ministry is headed.
  • Present data-backed recommendations across channels in plain language: what's working, what to change, and what to test next.
  • Support the account lead, who owns the partner relationship, in assessing how a report furthers a ministry's impact.
  • As recurring reporting is automated, expect more of your time to shift toward analysis and projects across RK.

AI workflows across RK (about 20%)

  • Find repetitive or manual processes across RK, such as reports, task management, briefs, and campaign summaries, and build AI-assisted workflows to simplify or automate them.
  • Document those workflows so others can use them, and help colleagues get comfortable with AI tools.
  • Help set clear rules for using a variety of data with AI tools.

Other (about 10%)

  • Take part in internal team meetings, planning sessions, and company-wide meetings.
  • Keep building your skills through training, new tools, and learning the ministry media landscape, with RK's support.
  • As reporting becomes more automated, take on data projects for other RK teams, such as campaign performance analysis for Digital Marketing, station and affiliate data for Station Relations, or operational and financial analysis for leadership.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Who you'll work with

You'll work mainly with the Media Services team, which includes Digital Marketing. Over time there's room to grow into work with all of our teams.

What success looks likeIn your first 90 days

  • You know our ministry partners, their goals, and the reports we provide each of them.
  • You've taken over the current reporting process, including the quarterly social media reports, and run it with an AI-assisted workflow.
  • You've joined partner calls with the Media Services team and built working relationships with the account leads.
  • You've built and documented at least two AI workflows that teammates use.

By 6 months

  • Account leads bring you into partner conversations for strategy, not just reports.
  • You've proposed a standard set of metrics and a consistent report format across ministries.
  • RK has agreed guidelines for using partner and donor data with AI tools.
  • You've recommended how to elevate RK's reporting, and we've agreed on a plan.

By 1 year

  • RK has its first benchmarking report, reviewed with senior leadership.
  • Standardized reporting with benchmarks is running as a service for our ministry partners.
  • Ministry partners see you as a trusted advisor on what to do next.
  • AI is part of how the Media Services team works day to day, with documented, repeatable workflows.

What you bringRequired

  • 3–5 years in a role where you turned data into recommendations people acted on, such as reporting, marketing analytics, agency account or strategy work, or nonprofit development.
  • Daily, hands-on use of AI tools such as Claude or ChatGPT, with real examples of work you now do faster or better because of them.
  • Comfort with numbers: solid Excel or Google Sheets skills (pivot tables, lookups, cleaning data) and the instinct to spot when a figure looks wrong.
  • A track record of presenting to non-technical audiences, including senior leaders.
  • Clear, concise writing: you can explain what the results mean and what to do about them.
  • Strong people skills: you ask good questions, listen well, set clear expectations, and follow through.
  • Initiative: you find answers and solve problems without needing step-by-step direction.
  • Sound judgment with confidential information.
  • A general understanding of Christian denominational and theological differences, and empathy for the mission of non-profit ministries.

Preferred

  • Experience with nonprofit fundraising, direct response, media buying, or donor data.
  • Familiarity with radio, podcast, or social media metrics.
  • Experience building automations or custom AI assistants, for example Claude Projects, custom GPTs, Zapier, or Make.
  • Experience helping a team adopt a new tool or process.
  • Experience working with multiple partners or accounts at once.
  • Bachelor's degree, or trade school or certificate training, in a related field.
