The Opportunity We are seeking a hands-on Client Accounting & Advisory Services (CAAS) Practice Leader to join our leadership team. We're looking for someone who wants to build and grow this practice, not just run one that's already built. Whether you're currently leading a practice and ready for a bigger canvas, or a strong second-in-command ready to step into your first top seat, the through-line is the same: the drive to own the next chapter, writing the business plan, expanding the service line, and growing the team. This is a Principal-level opportunity, with a Partner track available for an exceptional candidate, in a firm that values technical excellence, entrepreneurial thinking, and strong client relationships. Leadership & Resources You won't be building alone. This role comes with direct, hands-on involvement from CRR partners and Board members from the Bridgepoint Alliance board of directors: real access to firm leadership, growth capital, and the resources to scale this practice faster than you could on your own. Responsibilities Own the CAAS practice's business plan, growth strategy, and service-line expansion Personally drive business development, winning new accounts and expanding existing client relationships through proposals, pricing, and cross-selling Serve as the senior relationship owner for a portfolio of key CAAS clients, operating as a trusted advisor / outsourced CFO Partner with firm leadership on pricing, bundling, and go-to-market strategy for existing and new CAAS service offerings Champion adoption of cloud accounting technology and AI-enabled tools across client engagements Lead staffing and utilization decisions for the department, including hiring, capacity planning, and budget Directly manage, mentor, and develop CAAS managers, seniors, and staff accountants Review and oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close, reporting, budgeting, and forecasting deliverables Maintain regular in-person presence in the Wakefield, MA office to support team leadership and client work Qualifications Required Active CPA license 10+ years of progressive accounting experience Demonstrated experience leading a CAAS department, client accounting services team, or comparable outsourced accounting practice Track record of owning key client relationships at an executive/advisory level Proven experience hiring, developing, and managing accounting staff Located within practical commuting distance of Wakefield, MA and able to work in a hybrid model with regular in-person presence Preferred Experience growing or scaling a practice, whether CAAS, outsourced accounting, bookkeeping, or a fractional CFO offering, not just maintaining one someone else built Demonstrated business development track record — winning and expanding client relationships Hands-on fluency with cloud accounting platforms and AI-enabled tools (e.g., QuickBooks Online, NetSuite, Sage Intacct, Bill.com, etc.) Experience owning a departmental budget or P&L, including pricing and bundling decisions A track record of building lasting client relationships through high-quality, responsive service An entrepreneurial, technology-forward, practice-builder mindset, comfortable operating with ambiguity Our Community Involvement and Team Culture We believe in giving back and building something bigger than ourselves. Compensation & Benefits In compliance with Massachusetts law, CRR is committed to pay transparency. The base salary range for this position is $185,000 – $250,000 per year. Actual compensation is based on relevant experience, skills, education, and internal equity.
