# Cleaning Operative **SBG Services** · Edmonton N18 2TL · `On-site` 🕒 **Статус:** *Опубликовано: сегодня* · *Источник: Indeed* --- ### About the Role Job Summary SBG Services is looking for a reliable, energetic Cleaning Operative to join our team at a primary school on a temporary basis, with a possibility of a permanent position for the right person. You will keep classrooms, halls, toilets and communal areas clean, safe and welcoming for pupils, staff and visitors, working to a set daily schedule outside school hours during term time, with deeper cleans during the school holidays. Full induction, and health and safety training are provided, so this is a great way in whether you are new to cleaning or looking for regular hours close to home. Hours + Times Monday to Friday 15:00 to 18:00 (3 hours per weekday) Responsibilities - Clean classrooms, corridors, the school hall, offices, staff rooms and dining areas to a high standard, following the site cleaning schedule - Clean and sanitise pupil and staff toilets, sinks and touchpoints using our colour-coded system and approved products - Vacuum, mop and spot-clean floors, and empty bins, separating recycling where required - Restock soap, paper towels and toilet rolls so supplies never run out during the school day - Complete cleaning logs and sign-off sheets accurately at the end of each shift - Store chemicals and equipment securely and out of reach of children, in line with COSHH guidance - Report maintenance issues, breakages and hazards to your supervisor straight away - Follow the school's safeguarding and site security procedures at all times, including signing in and out and keeping to designated areas Requirements - Previous cleaning experience - An enhanced DBS check is required for this role - Able to start promptly and commit to the full temporary period - Able to work independently and to a schedule with minimal supervision - Good attention to detail and pride in leaving each area properly finished - Reliable and punctual, with a professional and friendly manner around children, teachers and parents - Reasonable physical fitness for a hands-on role that involves standing, bending and lifting throughout the shift Why join SBG Services This role starts as temporary cover, but we are always looking to keep good people – do the job well and there is a real chance of a permanent contract, either at this school or on one of our other sites.
