This position is responsible for recruiting, screening, and helping hire qualified Class A CDL truck drivers while maintaining strong communication throughout the hiring process. The ideal candidate has experience in driver recruiting, understands the trucking industry, and is familiar with DOT and FMCSA hiring requirements. This role requires strong follow-up, organization, and communication skills, as well as the ability to build relationships with applicants and effectively present the company, position, pay, equipment, routes, and other job details. Responsibilities Recruit and attract qualified Class A CDL truck drivers. Source candidates through job boards, social media, recruiting platforms, referrals, and other recruiting channels. Conduct phone screens and interviews with potential driver applicants. Verify CDL qualifications, driving experience, employment history, and other required credentials. Pre-qualify applicants according to company, DOT, and FMCSA requirements. Maintain consistent communication and follow-up with applicants throughout the hiring process. Explain company pay, benefits, equipment, routes, home time, and other job details. Coordinate with Safety to move qualified applicants through the hiring process. Maintain accurate applicant records and track recruiting activity. Develop new strategies to increase driver applicant volume and improve hiring results. Build and maintain a strong pipeline of qualified drivers. Follow all applicable company, DOT, and FMCSA recruiting and hiring requirements. Meet recruiting and hiring goals established by management. Qualifications Previous CDL driver recruiting experience required. Knowledge of the trucking industry and Class A CDL requirements. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to effectively present the company and position to prospective drivers. Strong follow-up, organization, and time-management skills. Comfortable making a high volume of phone calls and communicating by text and email. Experience with recruiting software, applicant tracking systems, and job boards preferred. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Professional, dependable, and goal-oriented. Pay: $45,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year Benefits: Referral program Work Location: In person
