The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring site activities, ensuring that works are carried out in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, project requirements, quality standards, and applicable UAE regulations. The role requires strong site supervision and coordination experience, with the ability to work closely with contractors, subcontractors, consultants, project managers, and other disciplines to ensure smooth project execution and timely resolution of site issues. Key Responsibilities: Supervise and monitor day-to-day civil construction activities on-site to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, method statements, and project requirements. Conduct regular site inspections and verify that construction works are executed in accordance with approved designs and consultant requirements. Review and monitor the quality of civil works, including concrete, structural works, blockwork, plastering, waterproofing, flooring, external works, roads, infrastructure, and other related activities. Ensure that materials, workmanship, and installation methods comply with approved specifications and project quality standards. Review contractor submissions, method statements, material submittals, shop drawings, inspection requests, and related technical documentation from a site supervision perspective. Monitor the progress of works against the approved project schedule and report delays, site constraints, and potential risks to the project management team. Coordinate with the contractor and relevant project stakeholders to ensure proper sequencing and execution of site activities. Identify construction defects, non-conformities, and deviations from approved drawings and specifications and ensure that corrective actions are implemented. Raise and follow up on site observations, inspection comments, and NCRs where required. Attend site meetings, progress meetings, technical coordination meetings, and inspections as required. Coordinate with MEP, architectural, structural, and other disciplines to identify and resolve interface issues during construction. Verify completed works and assist in reviewing quantities, measurements, and progress claims where required. Ensure that works are carried out in compliance with relevant UAE codes, standards, authority requirements, health and safety requirements, and project procedures. Monitor site safety practices and immediately report unsafe conditions or activities to the appropriate project team. Maintain accurate records of site activities, inspections, progress, technical issues, and contractor performance. Review as-built information and support the project team during testing, inspections, snagging, handover, and close-out activities. Coordinate with contractors to ensure timely completion of snagging and rectification works. Provide regular updates to the Project Manager/Resident Engineer regarding site progress, quality concerns, technical issues, and construction risks. Support the consultant team in ensuring that the project is delivered according to the required quality, schedule, specifications, and contractual requirements. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related engineering discipline. Minimum 12 years of overall experience in civil construction/site supervision. Minimum 5 years of experience working in the UAE. Proven experience working for a consultant / engineering consultancy in a site supervision capacity. Strong experience in supervising and inspecting civil construction works on major projects. Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, specifications, drawings, and quality requirements. Good understanding of relevant UAE construction codes, standards, and authority requirements. Experience coordinating with contractors, subcontractors, consultants, and multidisciplinary project teams. Strong ability to interpret civil, structural, architectural, and related construction drawings. Familiarity with QA/QC procedures, inspection processes, NCRs, site observations, and project documentation. Strong communication, coordination, reporting, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently on-site while maintaining effective communication with the wider consultant and project team. UAE consultancy/site supervision experience is mandatory.
