Location: Dubai, UAE Position: Civil Foreman Project Type: Infrastructure / Chilled Water Pipeline Projects Employment Type: Full-Time JOB SUMMARY Island Tower Electromechanical Works LLC. is looking for an experienced Civil Foreman to supervise and coordinate civil construction activities for infrastructure and chilled water pipeline projects. The Civil Foreman will be responsible for managing site activities, coordinating manpower and subcontractors, ensuring work is carried out according to approved drawings and specifications, and maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and productivity. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Supervise day-to-day civil works related to chilled water pipeline and infrastructure projects. Manage and coordinate site workers, operators, subcontractors, and other site personnel. Supervise excavation, trenching, shoring, backfilling, compaction, and reinstatement works. Coordinate pipeline corridor preparation and civil works associated with chilled water networks. Supervise construction of manholes, valve chambers, thrust blocks, concrete works, foundations, and related structures. Ensure proper levels, alignment, dimensions, and gradients are maintained as per approved drawings. Coordinate with surveyors and site engineers for setting-out and level requirements. Monitor installation areas and ensure trenches are properly prepared before pipeline installation. Coordinate with MEP/pipeline teams to ensure smooth execution of civil and mechanical activities. Ensure materials are properly handled, stored, and used efficiently. Monitor daily manpower, equipment, and material requirements. Read and understand construction drawings, method statements, and project specifications. Coordinate inspections with Site Engineers, QA/QC personnel, consultants, and client representatives. Ensure completed works meet approved quality standards and project requirements. Identify site issues and report them promptly to the Site Engineer or Construction Manager. Maintain daily records of work progress, manpower, equipment, and site activities. Ensure compliance with project HSE requirements and safe working practices. Conduct toolbox talks and ensure workers follow site safety procedures. Coordinate work activities to achieve planned daily and weekly targets. Minimize material wastage and ensure efficient utilization of manpower and equipment. Assist the Site Engineer/Construction Manager in achieving project milestones and timely completion. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE Diploma or technical qualification in Civil Engineering/Construction is preferred. Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in civil construction. Experience in infrastructure, utility, district cooling, chilled water pipeline, or underground pipeline projects is highly preferred. Strong practical knowledge of excavation, trenching, backfilling, concrete, road reinstatement, and related civil works. Experience working in the UAE/GCC is preferred. Ability to read civil drawings and understand construction details. Good knowledge of site safety requirements and construction practices. Ability to supervise and motivate site workers effectively.
