In this role, you will play a vital part in designing, planning, and managing civil engineering projects across various sectors, including infrastructure, transportation, and environmental development. Your expertise will help translate complex concepts into practical solutions, ensuring project success from inception to completion. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on impactful projects while utilizing cutting-edge tools and technologies in a collaborative environment. Duties Prepare detailed civil engineering drawings and schematics using AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Revit, MicroStation, and other CAD software to support project design and documentation. Assist in project management tasks by developing schedules with Microsoft Project and organizing workflows to meet deadlines efficiently. Conduct site inspections and construction monitoring to ensure compliance with design specifications, safety standards, and quality control measures. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including electrical and mechanical engineers to develop integrated system designs and schematics. Analyze project data using MATLAB, Python, analysis skills, and mathematical techniques to optimize design solutions and troubleshoot technical issues. Support manufacturing and product development processes by applying lean manufacturing principles, maintenance strategies, and system analysis. Engage in drafting, system design, debugging, and laboratory testing activities to refine project components and prototypes. Communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and team members through presentation skills and professional documentation to facilitate smooth project execution. Qualifications Proven experience in civil engineering projects with construction inspection or related fieldwork background. Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Revit, MicroStation, SolidWorks, MATLAB, Python, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Microsoft Project and Outlook. Strong mechanical knowledge combined with electrical engineering understanding for integrated system design. Bilingual capabilities in English and French are highly desirable for effective communication across diverse teams. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail. Knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs), schematics creation, debugging techniques, and system analysis tools. Experience in construction management or construction inspection roles is preferred. Demonstrated leadership qualities with the ability to coordinate teams and oversee project phases from planning through execution.
