Civil Engineering Project Manager – Heavy Civil / Highway Construction

About the role A leading, established construction and infrastructure firm is seeking a Project Manager to oversee heavy civil and highway construction projects. This role is responsible for full project lifecycle execution including planning, coordination, budgeting, and delivery. Key Responsibilities - Lead planning, execution, and closeout of construction projects - Manage schedules, budgets, and overall project performance - Coordinate internal teams, subcontractors, and stakeholders - Ensure compliance with safety standards, contract requirements, and quality expectations - Review contracts, project scope, and deliverables - Track progress, costs, and forecasts to ensure project success - Maintain documentation including RFIs, submittals, meeting notes, and reports - Support client communication and project coordination efforts Additional Responsibilities - Participate in project meetings and reporting - Assist with change orders and cost tracking - Monitor subcontractor performance and productivity - Support procurement and material coordination - Address project risks, delays, and scheduling conflicts - Assist with project startup and closeout processes What They’re Looking For - Experience managing heavy civil, roadway, or infrastructure projects - Strong understanding of construction processes and project lifecycle - Ability to manage budgets, schedules, and multiple priorities - Familiarity with project management and construction software tools - Strong communication and leadership skills Requirements - Background in construction management, civil engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience) - Experience supporting or leading projects of varying size and complexity - Ability to interpret plans, specifications, and contracts - Strong organizational and problem-solving skills Requirements and skills Background in construction management, civil engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience) Experience supporting or leading projects of varying size and complexity Ability to interpret plans, specifications, and contracts Strong organizational and problem-solving skills Preferred: experience managing heavy civil, roadway, or infrastructure projects Preferred: strong understanding of construction processes and project lifecycle Preferred: ability to manage budgets, schedules, and multiple priorities Preferred: familiarity with project management and construction software tools Preferred: strong communication and leadership skills Pay: From $90,000.00 per year Benefits: 401(k) Dental insurance Health insurance Opportunities for advancement Paid time off Vision insurance Work Location: In person
