The role requires strong experience in offshore construction, structural works, foundations, concrete works, steel structures, marine-related civil works, and coordination with multidisciplinary engineering and construction teams. The candidate must ensure that all civil works are executed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with approved drawings, project specifications, applicable codes, quality standards, and project schedules. Key Duties & Responsibilities: Plan, coordinate, and supervise civil and structural construction activities for offshore Oil & Gas facilities. Review approved drawings, specifications, method statements, and project requirements. Supervise foundations, concrete works, structural steel, grouting, equipment foundations, platforms, walkways, supports, and other civil/structural works. Ensure construction activities are carried out according to approved engineering drawings and specifications. Coordinate civil works with mechanical, electrical, piping, instrumentation, and other disciplines. Identify technical issues and coordinate with engineering teams for timely resolution. Supervise civil and structural works in offshore environments, including platforms, offshore facilities, and associated structures. Coordinate offshore installation and construction activities with the project and marine teams. Monitor lifting, positioning, installation, alignment, and fixing of structural components where applicable. Ensure proper execution of offshore concrete, grouting, structural steel, access platforms, foundations, and support systems. Coordinate with offshore operations to minimize disruption to ongoing production activities. Review IFC drawings, shop drawings, specifications, calculations, and technical documents. Identify discrepancies between drawings and actual site conditions. Prepare and review technical queries, RFIs, site instructions, and engineering clarifications. Assist in resolving technical problems encountered during construction. Ensure all engineering changes are properly documented and approved. Supervise subcontractors and construction teams to ensure work is completed according to approved requirements. Monitor daily construction progress and manpower deployment. Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports. Track construction activities against project schedules and milestones. Identify delays, constraints, and potential construction risks and report them to management. Ensure proper coordination between offshore and onshore teams. Ensure civil and structural works comply with project specifications, approved drawings, QA/QC procedures, and applicable standards. Coordinate with QA/QC Inspectors for inspections and testing. Review inspection requests and ensure necessary documentation is completed. Monitor concrete works, reinforcement, formwork, grouting, welding-related structural works, coating, and dimensional checks where applicable. Ensure corrective actions are implemented for identified deficiencies. Support preparation of quality dossiers and handover documentation. Ensure strict compliance with offshore HSE requirements and company procedures. Participate in toolbox talks, safety meetings, risk assessments, and site inspections. Ensure all civil construction activities are performed in accordance with approved method statements and risk assessments. Identify unsafe conditions and stop work where an immediate safety risk exists, in accordance with company procedures. Promote a strong safety culture among construction personnel and subcontractors. Monitor the availability and proper use of construction materials. Review material requirements and coordinate with procurement and logistics teams. Ensure materials received at site comply with approved specifications. Monitor material wastage and recommend measures to minimize unnecessary losses. Coordinate offshore material deliveries and logistics where required. Coordinate with civil contractors, subcontractors, and specialist vendors. Monitor subcontractor performance, productivity, quality, and compliance. Review subcontractor method statements and work plans. Ensure subcontractors comply with project specifications, HSE requirements, and approved schedules. Participate in progress and coordination meetings. Maintain accurate records of construction activities and technical documentation. Prepare daily progress reports, site reports, inspection records, and technical reports. Maintain records of drawings, RFIs, NCRs, inspection reports, and site instructions. Assist with as-built drawings and final project documentation. Support project handover and close-out activities. Coordinate with Project Managers, Construction Managers, Site Engineers, QA/QC, HSE, Planning, Procurement, and other project disciplines. Attend project coordination and progress meetings. Communicate technical and construction requirements clearly to site teams. Coordinate with client representatives, consultants, and third-party inspectors as required. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized university. Professional engineering certification or membership is an advantage. Relevant safety certifications for offshore Oil & Gas environments are preferred. Offshore training/certification such as BOSIET/FOET, HUET, H2S, and offshore medical fitness may be required depending on project requirements. Required Experience Minimum 7–10 years of relevant Civil Engineering experience , preferably within the Oil & Gas industry . Strong experience in offshore Oil & Gas construction projects is essential. Experience with offshore platforms, structural works, foundations, concrete works, steel structures, equipment foundations, and associated facilities. Experience working with EPC contractors, Oil & Gas operators, consultants, or major subcontractors is preferred. Previous experience in the GCC/Qatar Oil & Gas sector is an advantage. Proven experience coordinating multidisciplinary offshore construction activities. Application Question(s): Are you graduate in Civil Engineering ?
