Key Responsibilities - Prepare detailed civil design plans, specifications, and cost estimates for a diverse range of civil infrastructure projects. - Review all design documentation to ensure exceptional accuracy, readiness for construction, and full compliance with relevant local and international engineering standards. - Apply specialized design experience across critical domains, including: Site Grading, Earthworks, Slope Protection, Road Layouts, Profiles, Cross-Sectional Details, Drainage, Hydrology, and Stormwater Management, Water Supply Systems and Distribution Line Networks. - Track project timelines closely to ensure milestones are met; proactively flag potential delays and provide timely mitigation advice to the Department Manager. - Conduct comprehensive technical investigations and draft data-driven reports on complex engineering issues. - Contribute to long-term strategic planning, resource allocation, and program structuring within the Civil Works Department. - Support, mentor, and motivate fellow design staff to foster a harmonious, highly productive, and customer-focused team environment. - Ensure prompt, professional, and courteous responses to inquiries and correspondence from clients, internal departments, and regulatory authorities. - Stay up to date with evolving policies, industry best practices, and emerging challenges in civil engineering design. Job Qualifications - Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, preferably Licensed Engineer. - At least 3-4 years of solid experience as a Civil Works Design Engineer, highly proficient in AutoCAD , Autodesk Civil 3D , MicroStation , and Bentley InRoads (or OpenRoads). - Proven experience investigating, analyzing, and resolving complex design challenges while applying robust Risk Management policies. - Demonstrated ability to coordinate external consultants and manage resources efficiently to deliver multiple projects within tight deadlines and budgets. - Strong capacity to work independently with minimal supervision on diverse, simultaneous design pipelines. - High-level written, interpersonal, and negotiation skills, with a proven track record of effectively managing relationships with diverse stakeholders. - Ability to synthesize technical data into accurate, concise, and timely executive reports.
