Chief Revenue Officer
Chief Revenue Officer (CRO)
Dallas, Tx (hybrid, about 40% travel) · Full-time · Reports to the CEO
Job overview
Impulse Holding makes wireless EMS (electrical muscle stimulation) fitness technology: Power Pods, training suits, a training software platform, and the On The Go home system with app-based streaming. We sell through a growing network of independent Impulse Reps, who place our kits with fit-preneurs building at-home training businesses and with independent personal trainers.
We are hiring our first Chief Revenue Officer to build and lead this network, growing it from launch to about 100 active reps across the U.S. and Mexico in two years. You will own every revenue line: kit sales, recurring suit and software revenue, and the On The Go system with its streaming subscriptions. This is a build-from-scratch leadership role with most of the pay tied to results, for someone who wants to lead from the field.
Responsibilities
- Own Impulse's revenue plan and forecast, and report progress monthly to company leadership.
- Recruit, sign and onboard independent reps: about 55 in year one and about 20 a quarter in year two.
- Design rep territories, the territorial agreement, rep pay and incentives, and the rep onboarding program.
- Run a two-week onboarding course for each new group of reps covering product, Impulse training, the sales pitch and financing options.
- Co-sell alongside new reps to close their first sale within six weeks.
- Keep reps active and productive, and reduce early drop-out through coaching, scorecards and regional team leads.
- Help reps' customers get their trainers fully booked: launch playbooks, tryout-to-client conversion, local marketing and trainer hiring support.
- Grow repeat business: replacement suits, software subscriptions, and follow-on kits as fit-preneurs add trainers.
- Launch and scale the On The Go home system, with a target of 1 in 10 new clients buying it, and work with engineering to keep streaming subscribers.
- Manage the marketing budget for lead generation: trainer meet-ups, university events, gym open days and free EMS tryouts.
- Give production and finance a rolling 12-month sales forecast so inventory and cash keep pace with growth.
- Set up the CRM, dashboards and weekly operating rhythm for the revenue organization.
Qualifications
- 12+ years in sales or revenue leadership, including 3+ years as CRO, VP of Sales or Head of Channel owning a full revenue number.
- A proven record of building an indirect sales channel from scratch (independent reps, distributors, franchise or direct sales) to 15+ partners.
- Experience recruiting, training and motivating commission-only or 1099 sales partners.
- A record of growing recurring revenue (subscriptions, consumables or software) alongside equipment or hardware sales.
- Background in fitness equipment, boutique fitness, personal training, physical therapy, wellness or consumer health tech; EMS knowledge is a plus.
- Strong skills in territory planning, sales-pay design, forecasting and CRM-driven management.
- Fluent English required; Spanish strongly preferred.
- Based in or willing to relocate to Miami, and able to travel about 40%.
- Bachelor's degree required; a personal-trainer certification is a plus. You must complete Impulse's product training on joining.
- Comfortable with pay that is mostly variable and tied to company revenue results.
Compensation
Total on-target pay is $300,000 in year one and $360,000 in year two : a fixed base salary of $80,000 in year one and $120,000 in year two, plus an annual variable bonus tied to company revenue goals, paid in December.
Revenue goals are set in the company business plan and shared with shortlisted candidates.
Pay: $80,000.00 - $300,000.00 per year
