Chief Operating Officer ( Cypto Igaming Experienced/ Contract 6-12 months)

Our client is an established technology solutions provider offering digital technology, AI-driven business solutions, Blockchain, Web3 and Cybersecurity services. The business is expanding its focus on Cryptocurrency and iGaming operations and is seeking an experienced Contract COO to establish a structured operational framework, implement effective SOPs and improve overall business efficiency.

This is a hands-on operational leadership engagement, primarily focused on building systems, standardising workflows and establishing processes that can be managed effectively by the internal team.

Position: Contract Chief Operating Officer (COO) – Crypto & iGaming Operations

Location: Mid Valley City, KL

Responsibilities:

• Business Operations: Oversee day-to-day business operations, ensuring efficient workflows, effective resource allocation and alignment with business objectives.
• Operational Setup & Process Improvement: Develop and implement SOPs, policies and structured workflows to improve productivity, consistency and accountability across departments.
• Strategic Planning: Work closely with senior management to translate business strategies into actionable operational plans, KPIs and measurable outcomes.
• Team Leadership: Coordinate departmental heads and teams, establish clear responsibilities and performance standards, and drive operational accountability.
• Financial & Cost Management: Monitor operational budgets, expenses, cash flow and business performance, providing insights to support cost control and decision-making.
• Payment & Partner Management: Where applicable, oversee payment operations, fund-flow processes, payment gateway integrations and relationships with external business partners.
• Systems & Technology: Identify opportunities to streamline operations through automation, digital tools, AI solutions and integrated business systems.
• Business Growth & Expansion: Support the launch of new services, projects and market initiatives by ensuring operational readiness, resource planning and effective execution.
• Risk & Compliance: Establish appropriate operational controls and procedures, working with relevant teams and advisers to address regulatory, financial and business risks.
• Management Reporting: Provide regular reports on operational performance, business efficiency, financial indicators and improvement initiatives to senior management.

Requirements:

• Minimum 8 years of relevant working experience, with a strong background in operations management or operational leadership.
• Proven experience in Cryptocurrency, Crypto Exchange, Crypto Casino or iGaming operations.
• Strong hands-on experience in operational setup, SOP development, workflow optimisation and process standardisation.
• Good understanding of digital wallets, USDT, deposits and withdrawals, payment gateways and fund-flow management.
• Experience coordinating with payment providers, banking partners or other financial service providers.
• Demonstrated ability to structure unorganised operations, improve internal processes and build systems that can be managed by an internal team.
• Good understanding of operational reporting, cost control, performance monitoring and internal controls.
• Strong project management, problem-solving and stakeholder coordination skills.
• Able to work independently, deliver practical results within a defined timeframe and manage a project-based engagement.
• Willing to travel when required.

Remuneration packages:

• Basic salary: RM40,000 per month, negotiable based on experience and suitability.
• Allowances: To be confirmed.
• Performance bonus, subject to the agreed arrangement.

• EPF, SOCSO and EIS, subject to the applicable employment arrangement.

Work Arrangement:

• Contract duration: 6–12 months.
• Working days: Monday to Friday.
• Working hours: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM.
• Work location: Mid Valley City, Kuala Lumpur.
• Convenient access to public transportation.

Working Days: 5 days work week Working Hours: Mon to Fri (9am to 6pm)

Pay: RM35,000.00 - RM40,000.00 per month
