This shapes the work we have done for more than 40 years, providing connection, hope, and support to Arizona youth through our peer-to-peer crisis services, suicide prevention education and community outreach, Life Skills development program for teen volunteers, and the Caring Contacts program supporting teens following a psychiatric emergency. The Opportunity Teen Lifeline is seeking a strategic, people-centered Chief Financial and Operating Officer (CFOO) who shares a passion for our mission to help lead our organization through its next phase of growth. Reporting to the Executive Director/President, the CFOO will provide executive leadership across organizational operations, financial strategy, human resources, and governance . This role is especially well suited for a leader who sees the big picture, builds and scales strong systems, and improves the context of business operations by understanding how people, operations, and finances work together to support an organization’s mission. This is an opportunity to help shape how Teen Lifeline grows and operates for the future while also strengthening the infrastructure that allows our organization to remain sustainable and continue providing hope and support to Arizona youth. Key Responsibilities - Lead and strengthen organizational operations, systems, processes, and administrative infrastructure. - Identify opportunities to improve, streamline, and scale operations through people, technology, and process improvement. - Provide strategic oversight of facilities, technology, contracts, insurance, vendors, purchasing, and organizational risk. - Lead major operational initiatives, including Teen Lifeline’s capital campaign, future facility planning, and organizational transitions. - Provide executive oversight of budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, cash flow, and long-term financial planning. - Partner effectively with outside accountants, auditors, banks, and other financial professionals. - Directly supervise and empower the Associate Director of Operations and Associate Director of HR & Governance. - Partner with senior leadership and the Board on organizational strategy, growth, staffing, and long-term planning. Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in business administration, nonprofit management, or a related field. - At least 8 years of progressively responsible experience in organizational operations and financial leadership, including 3 years in a senior leadership or executive role . - Demonstrated experience improving organizational systems and operations. - Strong understanding of budgeting, financial reporting, cash flow, internal controls, and long-term planning. - Experience managing and developing leaders and professional staff. - Strong communication, judgment, collaboration, and problem-solving skills. - Nonprofit leadership experience and experience with organizational growth, capital campaigns, facilities, human resources, or governance are highly valued.
