We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead our financial operations and drive the organization’s fiscal health and growth. This pivotal role requires a visionary leader with extensive expertise in financial management, construction and development, and industry regulations. The CFO will oversee all financial activities, develop comprehensive financial strategies, ensure regulatory compliance, and provide insightful financial analysis to support executive decision-making. Iridium Development is a small company with large growth opportunities. This position is hands on day to day.

Duties

• Develop and execute robust financial strategies aligned with organizational goals to foster sustainable growth and profitability.
• Oversee all aspects of daily accounting, efficient in QB and Buildertrend software.
• Manage treasury functions such as cash flow optimization, banking relationships, and liquidity planning to support business needs.
• Supervise budgeting processes, expense management, cost control measures, and financial forecasting models to ensure fiscal discipline.
• Work with the CEO in raising debt and equity capital for land development.
• Drive mergers & acquisitions initiatives by conducting market analysis, valuation assessments, due diligence, and integration planning.

Skills

• Outstanding communication skills.
• Extensive experience in finance directorship roles with proven leadership in senior management settings.
• Deep understanding of corporate finance principles including profit & loss management, cost control, expense management, and revenue cycle management.
• Strong expertise in accounting systems implementation and technical accounting standards.
• Proficiency in financial software tools for analysis, reporting, modeling, and forecasting purposes.
• Knowledge of industry-specific financial regulations coupled with risk analysis capabilities to mitigate potential issues proactively.
• Exceptional skills in financial report writing and interpretation to communicate complex concepts clearly to stakeholders.
• Demonstrated ability in strategic planning, business analysis, market analysis, and supply chain considerations impacting finance operations.
• Skilled negotiator with experience in fundraising for business development initiatives.
• Effective supervision of finance teams with a focus on talent development and leadership excellence.
• Strong understanding of tax accounting practices alongside treasury management responsibilities such as payroll management and cash flow optimization.
