Chief Financial Officer (CFO)
Chief Financial Officer BYD by 1826 is a fast-growing automotive retail business in Singapore. We are seeking a hands-on Chief Financial Officer to lead the finance function, support continued business growth and strengthen the Group’s listed-company readiness. Key Responsibilities Lead accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, taxation, audit, treasury, cash flow and internal controls. Ensure accurate and timely monthly closing, management reporting, forecasting and statutory reporting. Provide financial analysis and strategic advice to the CEO, Board and shareholders. Establish listed-company-quality reporting, governance, risk management and Board/Audit Committee processes. Manage relationships with auditors, banks, sponsors and professional advisers. Lead finance workstreams for strategic corporate transactions and listing-readiness initiatives. Strengthen controls over inventory, customer deposits, revenue recognition, working capital and financing facilities. Lead, develop and strengthen the finance team. Candidate Requirements Approximately 12 or more years of progressive finance experience, including senior finance leadership. Direct senior finance experience within a listed company is required. SGX-listed, Catalist, small-cap or newly listed company experience is strongly preferred. Hands-on experience with listed-company reporting, annual reports, financial announcements, audit, internal controls and Board/Audit Committee support. Strong knowledge of SFRS(I), group consolidation, taxation, treasury and cash-flow management. A recognised professional accounting qualification such as CA Singapore, CPA or ACCA is preferred but not mandatory. Candidates without a professional accounting qualification must demonstrate substantial listed-company finance leadership and strong technical accounting competence. Prior RTO, IPO or major capital-markets transaction experience is advantageous but not required. Experience in automotive, retail, distribution or another inventory- and working-capital-intensive business would be advantageous. Commercial, hands-on, organised and comfortable working in a fast-moving business. Candidates currently serving as CFO, Deputy CFO, Finance Director or Group Financial Controller and who are ready to step up are encouraged to apply.
