Position Summary Monsma Marketing is seeking an experienced and strategic Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join our leadership team and help drive the continued growth and success of our organization. The CFO will provide financial leadership, business insight, and strategic guidance while overseeing all aspects of finance, accounting, budgeting, forecasting, cash management, and financial reporting. Along with financial leadership, the CFO will also oversee the IT and purchasing departments. This individual will play a critical role in shaping company strategy, supporting operational excellence, and ensuring the financial strength and long-term sustainability of the business. This position will report directly to the President of Monsma Marketing, while sitting on our leadership team. In addition, it will also be a close partner to ownership being that Monsma is a family owned and operated company. Position Responsibilities: · Provide strategic financial leadership and serve as a trusted advisor to the leadership team and ownership. · Oversee accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management. · Oversee the IT and purchasing departments, fostering a high performing culture. · Develop and report on financials, timely and accurately, ensuring adequate KPI metrics are recorded and achieved, leading to business growth and profitability. · Oversee the preparation of weekly, monthly, and annual financial statements for Monsma, including local, state and federal tax filings. · Ensure compliance with GAAP, tax regulations and other financial obligations. · Manage banking relationships, financing, insurance, and external auditor relationships. · Deliver financial analysis providing recommendations as needed to the leadership team and ownership for strategic decision making. · Support merger and acquisition activities as needed by evaluating acquisition opportunities, conducting financial due diligence, risk assessment, leading to an ultimate recommendation on opportunities. · Own the company budgeting process, developing the annual company plan in conjunction with the leadership team and ownership. · Demonstrate Monsma’s Core Values consistently, being an influential leader on the leadership team, driving our culture, mission and vision. Candidate Requirements: The ideal candidate will possess the following: - Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field. - 10+ years of experience of progressive financial leadership experience, including senior level finance or executive leadership roles. - Proven experience leading accounting and finance functions, including financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, cash management and reporting functions. - Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial controls and tax compliance. - Demonstrated success leading and developing high-performing teams. - Strong analytical, decision-making and problem-solving ability. - Excellent communication and ability to present financial information to the leadership team and ownership with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels. Preferred Candidate Qualifications: - Experience supporting privately held, family owned organizations. - Experience supporting a S-Corp. - CPA, MBA or other advanced credentials. - Prior experience within wholesale distribution. - Experience overseeing IT and purchasing departments. - Direct experience with mergers and acquisitions.
