Job Description

Position Title: Chief Financial Officer Pay Grade: Commensurate based on experience

Department: Finance FLSA: Non-exempt

Immediate Supervisor: VP/Treasurer Hours: Full-time, 40 hours

Position Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to manage the financial actions of our organization. The CFO will become a key partner in developing, monitoring, governing and evaluating the overall corporate strategy, planning and analysis with a focus on the bottom line financial and operating performance, while enhancing shareholder value.

Essential Functions:

Communicating directly with the Board of Directors/Owners regarding the company’s financial performance

Monitoring and managing the financial performance of the organization, including budgeting, financial reporting and auditing

Prepare income statements, balance sheets and other financial reports on a weekly basis

Prepare and file federal, state, third party and other financial reports to ensure compliance with GAAP, IRS and other taxing entity requirements

Leverage emerging technologies and build the next generation of finance talent

Review all formal finance and HR related procedures

Perform other job-related or special projects as assigned

Qualifications:

Bachelors Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting or related field

Professional certifications like CPA or CFA preferred

10 years of relevant experience in Finance or Accounting

Experience utilizing Peachtree Accounting Software is preferred

Proficiency in financial reporting, compliance, budgeting and forecasting

Has strong knowledge regarding AI fluency, data driven decision making and digital transformation

Highly accurate and detailed

Strong communication, influence and emotional intelligence

Highly motivated and organized

Time efficient and deadline driven

Preferred Talents:

Broad knowledge of the Ag Industry

Work Environment:

Corporate office setting

Some travel may be required for company-wide meetings or client consultations

Sedentary work, occasional lifting and/or carrying up to 20 lbs.

This role requires 100% in office attendance; this is not a remote position
