Chief Financial Officer

Dickenson County Behavioral Health Services is currently receiving applications for the following position: CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER (CFO). The Chief Financial Officer directs the agency's financial operations and reports to the Executive Director. This hands-on leadership position oversees budgeting, accounting, cash management, payroll, billing, grants, financial reporting, and internal controls while supporting the delivery of behavioral health and developmental services. The successful candidate will develop and monitor budgets; prepare financial statements and forecasts; oversee revenue collection; coordinate external audits; and ensure accurate, timely financial reporting to funding agencies, including DBHDS. The CFO will supervise assigned finance and billing staff and provide clear financial guidance to management and the Board of Directors. This position requires sound judgment, strong organizational and communication skills, and the ability to manage confidential information. Preferred qualifications include a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) credential or Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree. Supervisory experience and experience with a community services board, healthcare organization, public agency, or grant-funded organization are preferred. Minimum requirements include a bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a closely related field, along with progressively responsible experience in accounting, budgeting, financial reporting, and financial management. Proficiency with accounting software and spreadsheets is required. Salary is negotiable based on qualifications and experience. Applicants must include salary expectations in their cover letter.
