Chief Engineer

Overview

Lead facilities maintenance as Chief Engineer, keeping building systems safe, reliable, and ready to support daily operations. You’ll guide maintenance teams, coordinate projects, and respond to equipment issues with sound judgment and hands-on technical expertise. Duties

• Manage and supervise facilities maintenance teams, assign work, and coordinate priorities across maintenance and repair activities.
• Oversee industrial maintenance and repair of HVAC (heating, ventilation, and air conditioning), plumbing, mechanical, and electrical systems, including high- and low-voltage equipment.
• Troubleshoot equipment using schematics, a voltmeter, and an ohmmeter; support repairs involving programmable logic controllers (PLCs).
• Plan maintenance projects, follow maintenance repair procedures, and use a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) to track work and equipment.
• Promote compliance with Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) requirements and other applicable safety regulations.

Requirements

• Demonstrated leadership, management, team management, and supervising experience, including managing facilities maintenance teams.
• Experience in facilities management, facilities maintenance management, and maintenance management; project management skills are valued.
• Mechanical knowledge and electrical experience, including engineering troubleshooting, mechanical systems repair, HVAC system repair, and plumbing system maintenance and repair.
• Familiarity with industrial maintenance, HVAC, electrical systems, high and low voltage, programmable logic controllers, schematics, and maintenance procedures.
• Working knowledge of OSHA and safety regulations, CMMS, and Microsoft Office; clear English communication skills.

Pay: $20.00 - $21.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
