Chief Architect

ABOUT THE ROLE

Ocean Blue Solutions is seeking a highly skilled Senior Architect to lead and define enterprise standards for Observability and DevOps. In this role, you will be the driving force behind the adoption of modern monitoring and automation practices across all application teams. You will define the standards, evaluate emerging technologies, and lead the rollout of the core observability platform, Dynatrace .

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Define Observability Standards: Establish "Gold Standards" for metrics, logs, traces, APM, synthetic monitoring, and digital experience across Kubernetes, cloud, and databases. Define SLIs, SLOs, and alerting frameworks.
• Drive Application Onboarding: Partner directly with application teams to instrument services, build actionable dashboards, and close gaps against architectural standards.
• Establish DevOps & DevSecOps Practices: Create reference architectures, reusable CI/CD pipeline templates, Infrastructure as Code modules, and security scanning standards (SAST, DAST, SCA).
• Evaluate Technologies: Assess emerging tools, conduct PoV's, and make strategic build, buy, or partner recommendations.
• Champion Adoption: Maintain our architecture repository and runbooks, and report on adoption and compliance metrics to executive leadership.

WHAT YOU BRING

• Hands-on Dynatrace Expertise: Proven experience building demos and documentation for both leadership and engineering teams.
• A Track Record of Evangelism: Experience successfully onboarding application teams onto new platforms and driving organizational change.
• Enterprise Architecture Experience: Deep understanding of cloud-native systems, Kubernetes, and modern CI/CD practices.
• Executive Communication: Clear, evidence-based communication skills with the ability to influence.

NICE TO HAVE

• Dynatrace Certification
• AIOps experience
• Prior work defining reference architectures or engineering standards
• Experience with Terraform, GitOps, or Kubernetes platforms

Pay: $190,000.00 per year
