Chapter Lead, Digital Claims Service Development Norway
Want to grow as a leader while staying close to delivery?
We are looking for a Chapter Lead who wants to develop people while staying close to digital development. As Chapter Lead in Digital Claims at If, you will have formal people responsibility for members of our Service Development Chapter. You will coach and develop people, build the skills we need for the future and connect individual growth with business and delivery needs.
About the role
People leadership is your core responsibility. Alongside this, you will contribute hands-on to digital development or lead an agreed strategic or cross-team initiative. You will join a Nordic organization where Chapter members work in cross-functional teams, bringing together customer needs, business processes and digital solutions.
Key responsibilities
- Lead, coach and develop Chapter members, including recruitment, onboarding, feedback, performance, well-being and career development.
- Build current and future skills and capabilities based on business, customer and technology needs.
- Work with delivery leaders to match people and skills with team needs and support sustainable workloads.
- Strengthen professional expertise through learning, knowledge-sharing and collaboration across locations.
- Contribute to the Digital Service Development leadership team and its people and capability priorities.
- Combine people leadership with hands-on digital development or ownership of an agreed strategic or cross-team initiative.
We offer
In the same way that we place high demands on you as an employee, we also expect you to place high demands on us as an employer. Here are some of the benefits of working at If:
- An inclusive work environment where everyone is welcome
- Career and development opportunities in the biggest insurance company in the Nordics
- Social activities and a highly skilled professional environment
- Possibility of a hybrid workplace
- A health-promoting workplace with e.g. various sports activities in-house

About the team
You will lead an experienced and self-driven team of four professionals, all based in Oslo. Your role will be to build on this strong foundation by bringing the team even closer together, supporting continued growth and strengthening the local visibility and strategic direction of Digital Claims.
Looking ahead, we plan to grow the team further. You will therefore play a key role in attracting, recruiting and onboarding new colleagues, while helping shape the capabilities the team will need for the future.
