Job Summary The Certified Public Accountant (CPA) will oversee the resort’s accounting and financial operations, ensuring the accuracy of financial records, timely preparation of financial reports, and compliance with applicable Philippine accounting standards, tax regulations, and statutory requirements. The successful candidate will support financial planning, budgeting, cost control, and analysis to promote the resort’s financial stability and operational efficiency. The CPA will report directly to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and work closely with management to ensure effective financial management and compliance. Responsibilities - Report directly to the CFO on accounting operations, financial performance, and compliance matters. - Oversee daily accounting operations and financial transactions. - Prepare and review financial statements, management reports, and account reconciliations. - Ensure compliance with BIR regulations, tax filings, and other statutory requirements. - Monitor accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash flow, and general ledger accounts. - Assist the CFO in budgeting, financial forecasting, and cost control. - Maintain effective internal controls and accounting procedures. - Coordinate with management, external auditors, and relevant government agencies. - Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and confidentiality of financial records. - Other tasks that may be assigned from time to time. Qualifications - Must be a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and a graduate of Accountancy. - With relevant experience in accounting, finance, and tax compliance. - Knowledgeable in Philippine accounting standards and BIR regulations. - Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Excel. - Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. - Trustworthy, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently. - Experience in the hospitality or resort industry is an advantage. - Must be willing to relocate to Puerto Galera, Oriental Mindoro, and work on-site at the resort.
