As KLAY continues to grow, we are looking for an experienced Centre Head / Centre Director who can take complete ownership of the centre’s operations, people, parent experience, admissions, service quality and business performance . For more information, visit KLAY – Official Website Role Overview The Centre Head / Centre Director will be responsible for the overall management and performance of the centre , ensuring high standards of child safety, learning, care, parent experience and operational excellence. The role will also have a strong focus on admissions, parent counselling, team leadership, centre occupancy, revenue and profitability . Key Responsibilities1. Centre Operations & Service Excellence · Own the complete day-to-day operations of the centre. · Ensure smooth and efficient functioning of the centre in line with KLAY’s policies, processes and quality standards. · Ensure the highest standards of child safety, hygiene, security and care . · Ensure effective delivery of KLAY’s learning and child engagement programmes. · Monitor service quality and ensure a consistently positive experience for children and parents. · Ensure operational readiness and effective utilisation of centre resources. 2. Admissions & Business Growth · Own the centre’s admissions and enrolment targets . · Manage walk-ins, enquiries, centre visits and parent counselling. · Conduct effective counselling with prospective parents and convert enquiries into admissions. · Lead the centre walkthrough and ensure prospective parents receive a strong understanding of KLAY’s programmes and value proposition. · Drive parent engagement, retention and referrals. · Track key business metrics including enquiries, conversions, occupancy and revenue . KLAY’s current admission journey specifically includes a centre walkthrough, interaction with the Centre Director for counselling, programme selection and fee quotation, making this a critical part of the role. 3. Parent & Customer Experience · Act as the primary point of contact for parents at the centre. · Build strong and trusted relationships with parents. · Proactively address parent feedback, concerns and escalations. · Ensure timely resolution of issues while maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction. · Build a strong parent community and ensure a positive overall centre experience. 4. People & Team Management · Lead, manage and motivate the centre team. · Coach and mentor teachers, caregivers and support staff. · Drive team performance, engagement, accountability and retention. · Identify capability gaps and support employee development. · Ensure effective manpower planning and deployment. · Build a collaborative, positive and high-performing centre culture. 5. Quality, Safety & Compliance · Ensure adherence to KLAY’s child safety, health, hygiene and operational standards . · Conduct regular checks to ensure compliance with centre processes and safety protocols. · Ensure all statutory, regulatory and internal compliance requirements are followed. · Maintain appropriate centre documentation and records. · Work closely with internal teams to continuously improve quality and service standards. 6. Financial & P&L Management · Take ownership of the centre’s financial and business performance . · Manage centre-level P&L, revenue and operating expenses. · Monitor occupancy, admissions, collections and key financial metrics. · Identify opportunities to improve revenue and optimise operating costs. · Drive the centre towards agreed business and profitability targets. 7. Stakeholder Management · Work closely with Regional Business Heads and central/corporate teams. · Coordinate with Academic, HR, Finance, Operations, Marketing and other support functions. · Ensure effective communication between the centre team and corporate teams. · Support new initiatives, programmes and centre-level projects. Key Competencies & Skills · Excellent communication and interpersonal skills . · Strong customer/parent orientation with a service mindset. · Strong sales and counselling skills with the ability to convert enquiries into admissions. · Excellent people management and team leadership capability. · Strong ownership, accountability and execution orientation. · Ability to handle difficult conversations and parent escalations professionally. · Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills. · High attention to detail and process orientation. · Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. · Strong business acumen with an understanding of revenue, occupancy, conversions and P&L . · Comfortable working with technology and MS Office . · Good understanding or exposure to Early Childhood Education / Preschool / Daycare operations will be an advantage. Qualifications · Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in any relevant discipline. · Qualification in Early Childhood Education, Education, Child Development or a related field will be an added advantage. Experience · 6–10 years of overall experience , preferably in preschool, daycare, early childhood education, education, hospitality, retail, customer service or another service-oriented industry. · Candidates with experience in centre management, branch management, retail operations, hospitality, customer experience or client servicing are encouraged to apply. · Prior experience managing teams, admissions/sales, customer relationships and business/financial performance will be preferred.
