JOB PURPOSE The CCTV Surveillance Executive is responsible for the continuous monitoring of CCTV cameras across all company retail locations/kiosks to ensure staff compliance, customer service standards, security, operational discipline, and protection of company assets. The position requires the employee to identify and report operational irregularities, suspicious activities, staff violations, stock-related concerns, and security incidents promptly to management. 2. KEY RESPONSIBILITIESA. CCTV Monitoring Monitor CCTV cameras for all assigned retail locations. Ensure cameras are functioning and recording properly. Monitor staff presence and activities during operating hours. Ensure staff remain within the designated kiosk/shop area unless authorized. Monitor customer interaction and staff behavior. Identify unusual or suspicious activities. Monitor opening and closing procedures. Report any camera failure immediately. B. Staff Compliance Monitor and report: Staff attendance and presence. Staff leaving the kiosk without authorization. Personal mobile phone misuse during working hours. Unauthorized sitting or inappropriate behavior. Improper customer approach or communication. Failure to follow company SOPs. Staff sleeping or inactive during working hours. Unauthorized visitors inside restricted areas. Non-compliance with grooming/uniform requirements where visible through CCTV. C. Sales & Operational Monitoring The CCTV Executive should coordinate with the Area Manager/Operations Team to identify operational issues such as: Low customer engagement. Staff not attending customers. Poor kiosk discipline. Improper handling of products. Unusual cash-counter activity. Unauthorized discounts or transactions where observable. Unapproved movement of stock. Poor merchandising or kiosk conditions. Important: CCTV observations should be used as an operational control and should be verified through POS/ERP, inventory records, or management review before disciplinary action is taken. D. Security & Loss Prevention Identify suspicious customer or staff activity. Monitor potential theft, damage, or unauthorized stock movement. Immediately escalate serious security incidents. Preserve relevant footage when an incident occurs. Maintain confidentiality of CCTV recordings. Never share CCTV footage with unauthorized persons. E. Incident Reporting Prepare an incident report whenever a significant issue is identified. The report should include: Date | Time | Location | Staff Name | Incident | CCTV Reference | Action Taken | Person Notified Serious incidents should be escalated immediately rather than waiting for the daily report. 3. AUTHORITY & LIMITATIONS The CCTV Surveillance Executive is authorized to: Monitor company CCTV systems. Record operational observations. Escalate violations and security concerns. Request clarification from relevant managers. Preserve relevant footage according to company procedures. The employee must not : Delete or alter CCTV footage without authorization. Share footage with unauthorized persons. Use CCTV footage for personal purposes. Confront customers or staff regarding incidents unless specifically authorized. Make accusations without supporting evidence. Access areas/cameras outside their assigned authorization. 7. REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS Previous CCTV monitoring/security experience preferred. Basic computer knowledge. Good observation and concentration skills. Ability to monitor multiple locations. Good written and verbal communication. Ability to prepare clear incident reports. High level of confidentiality and integrity. Ability to work shifts, including weekends and holidays where required. Retail/mall experience is an advantage. 8. KEY PERFORMANCE EXPECTATION The CCTV Surveillance Executive must maintain a professional, objective, and alert approach at all times. The purpose of surveillance is not simply to watch staff. It is to help management maintain: Security + Staff Discipline + Customer Service + SOP Compliance + Asset Protection + Operational Control Reporting Structure CCTV Surveillance Executive ↓ Area Manager / Operations Manager ↓ General Manager / Management Core Principle: “Observe – Verify – Record – Report – Escalate.” Pay: AED2,500.00 - AED3,000.00 per month Work Location: In person
