Responsibilities - Coordinate and manage all catering operations, including food preparation, presentation, and service execution. - Supervise catering staff, providing training, mentoring, and performance feedback to ensure high standards of hospitality and food safety. - Oversee inventory control, including ordering supplies, managing stock levels, and reducing waste to maximize profitability. - Utilize POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for order processing, billing, and cash handling with accuracy and integrity. - Develop menus tailored to client needs while maintaining quality standards; collaborate with culinary teams on food production. - Manage budgeting, profit and loss analysis, and cost control measures to meet financial targets. - Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain a clean, organized kitchen and service environment. - Lead staff hiring processes including interviewing candidates and onboarding new team members. - Oversee shift management, ensuring smooth operations during busy periods while maintaining excellent customer service. - Foster a positive team environment through ongoing training & development initiatives and effective managerial communication. Skills - Experience andbackground in institutional catering, healthcare food service , or high-volume culinary management. - Extensive experience in food preparation, cooking techniques, and food handling within casual dining or banquet settings. - Proficiency with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for efficient transaction processing. - Strong background in restaurant management, hospitality management, or food service management with supervisory experience. - Knowledge of inventory control practices, food safety standards, and kitchen management procedures. - Excellent team management skills including staff training, team leadership, interviewing skills, and managing hospitality teams. - Ability to perform basic math calculations related to budgeting, pricing, and P&L analysis accurately. - Demonstrated experience in managing catering events or banquet services with attention to detail and customer satisfaction focus. - Effective communication skills for managing staff shifts, training sessions, and client interactions. - Proven ability to handle cash transactions responsibly while maintaining high levels of customer service excellence. - Familiarity with culinary techniques gained through culinary experience or food industry roles; fine dining or casual dining experience preferred.
