The role is day shifts only, 5 shifts/45-50 hours a week, Sundays off! This is a hands-on management role for someone who understands and is passionate about both great food and great operations. You will lead the kitchen team, oversee daily production, maintain our high standards of food quality and hygiene, and ensure the kitchen operates efficiently and profitably. Established in 2012, we are now made up of several restaurants and shops/delis, all based in Central London including our flagship restaurant Honey & Co Bloomsbury, our deli/wine bar Honey & Co Great Portland and Honey & Co Daily in Store Street. Across the company we pride ourselves on making everything we can inhouse using the best quality ingredients we can get our hands on! This role will see the successful candidate play an integral role in our business, leading our catering & production kitchen based at Great Portland Street. Here, we produce a large section of the seasonal menus that form our catering service as well producing food daily for our deli/shops. Key responsibilities: Lead, manage and motivate our kitchen and prep team. Oversee daily food preparation and production to ensure consistency and quality. Plan production levels accurately. Tracking and managing catering orders using Google Workspace, working closely with our catering manager. Check that outgoing catering orders are sent out in a timely and accurate manner, ensuring all items are complete Ensure all food is prepared and presented beautifully. Maintain excellent food hygiene, health & safety and cleanliness standards. Implement and maintain effective kitchen systems and procedures. Manage communications between our four locations and managers to ensure smooth service. Ensure recipes, specifications and production standards are followed consistently. Maintain accurate records in line with relevant food safety regulations. We are looking for someone who: Has proven experience managing a professional restaurant kitchen and food production kitchen. Is experienced within a busy catering environment (offsite catering services or in-house) Is an effective leader who can motivate and develop a team, as well as being a team player Has strong knowledge of food safety and kitchen health & safety procedures. Is highly organised and able to work under pressure. Has excellent attention to detail and takes pride in high standards of food quality and taste. Is commercially aware and understands the importance of controlling costs. Has strong communication and problem-solving skills. Is hands-on, reliable and willing to lead by example. Has a genuine passion for food, hospitality and delivering high standards. We are offering the successful candidate: A full-time position, five days a week (45-50 hours, no doubles to allow for good work life balance). Daytime shifts only Sundays off (with some exceptions throughout the year) A hands-on role where you can make a visible impact.
