As a Category Manager, you'll work closely with buying, category and range teams, using shopper, consumer and market insights to identify opportunities and influence customer decisions. You'll become a trusted category partner, turning data into compelling recommendations that support category growth, strengthen customer relationships and help deliver commercial success for both Sofina and its customers. You'll also collaborate with Commercial, Marketing, NPD and Planning teams to bring category opportunities to life through innovation, promotions and customer plans. Key Duties - Build strong relationships with customer buying, category and range teams. - Lead category reviews using market, shopper, consumer and retailer insights. - Develop commercially focused recommendations that support customer and business growth. - Monitor category performance and identify opportunities to improve results. - Support range reviews, innovation projects, NPD performance and promotional activity. - Work with Marketing and NPD teams to develop compelling category and innovation stories. - Provide category insight to support forecasting, planning and growth strategies. - Support shopper marketing initiatives, seasonal ranging and product launches. - Deliver accurate reporting and analysis that supports customer decision making. - Contribute to wider category projects and share best practice across the team. Ideal Candidate - An experienced category, commercial or insight professional with strong commercial awareness. - Highly analytical, with the ability to turn complex data into clear and actionable recommendations. - A confident communicator who can influence and build relationships at all levels. - Experienced using customer, market, shopper and consumer insights to support decision making. - Familiar with category data platforms such as Kantar, Nielsen or Circana/IRI, although this is not essential. - Highly organised with strong prioritisation and time management skills. - Proactive, commercially minded and focused on finding solutions. - A collaborative team player who enjoys sharing knowledge and working cross-functionally. - Comfortable managing multiple priorities within a fast-paced environment.
