Working closely with Project Managers, you’ll provide contract administration, commercial coordination and project support across major capital and zone substation projects. You’ll help keep projects moving by ensuring contract documentation, procurement activities, subcontractor information, project records and commercial reporting are accurate and up to date. Candidates must have prior experience in construction project coordination and administration. Your responsibilities will include: Supporting contract administration throughout the project lifecycle Maintaining project registers, documentation and correspondence Coordinating procurement and subcontractor documentation Assisting with contract notices, claims, variations, extensions of time and payment claims Tracking project costs, commitments, purchase orders, invoices and subcontractor claims Supporting weekly and monthly reporting, including WIP, forecasts and budget tracking Coordinating meeting agendas, minutes, actions and follow-ups Maintaining HSQE, environmental, quality, inspection and commissioning records Supporting project handovers, defects management and final close-out documentation Identifying missing information, overdue actions or commercial risks and escalating these early This is a great opportunity to play an important role in the successful delivery of complex infrastructure projects while developing your commercial, contract and project delivery capability. About You You’re highly organised, detail-focused and confident working across multiple projects, deadlines and stakeholders. You communicate clearly, follow up actions proactively and enjoy helping project teams stay in control of their commercial and contractual responsibilities. You’ll ideally bring: Experience in contract, commercial or project administration within construction, utilities, infrastructure or a similar environment A relevant qualification in contract administration, construction management, project management or a related discipline An understanding of construction contracts, ideally NZS 3910 or similar contract forms Commercial awareness across purchase orders, invoices, WIP, subcontractor claims and variations Strong document control, reporting and record-management skills Confidence using Microsoft Office, project reporting tools, registers and document management systems Excellent written and verbal communication skills The ability to identify issues early and escalate them appropriately A collaborative and practical approach to supporting Project Managers, field teams, clients, consultants and subcontractors A strong commitment to health, safety, quality and environmental standards A full New Zealand Class 1 Driver Licence, preferably If you enjoy bringing structure to complex projects, keeping people informed and making sure the commercial details are covered, we’d love to hear from you.
