Job Description – Camp Manager Position: Camp Manager Location: UAE Department: Administration / Camp Operations Employment Type: Full-Time Industry: Construction / Contracting / Manpower Job Summary We are looking for an experienced Camp Manager with strong UAE labour accommodation experience to oversee the complete operations of multiple workforce accommodation camps. The ideal candidate must have proven UAE experience managing a minimum of 4 labour camps , preferably simultaneously, with responsibility for large multicultural workforces. The Camp Manager will be responsible for accommodation, housekeeping, catering, maintenance, security, transportation coordination, employee welfare, discipline, camp administration, inspections, and compliance with applicable UAE requirements. Key ResponsibilitiesMulti-Camp Operations Manage the day-to-day operations of a minimum of 4 labour camps in the UAE . Ensure consistent operational standards across all camps. Supervise Camp Bosses, supervisors, housekeeping teams, security personnel, and other camp staff. Monitor occupancy, room allocation, transfers, check-in/check-out, and workforce accommodation requirements. Conduct regular inspections of all assigned camps. Accommodation & Facilities Management Ensure accommodation facilities are clean, safe, hygienic, and properly maintained. Oversee housekeeping, laundry, kitchens, dining areas, recreation facilities, prayer areas, and common areas. Coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance for electrical, plumbing, HVAC, water, sewage, and other facilities. Monitor pest control, waste management, water-tank cleaning, and other essential services. Catering & Food Hygiene Supervise catering operations and ensure proper food quality and hygiene standards. Coordinate with catering contractors and suppliers. Monitor meal schedules, food quality, kitchen cleanliness, and resident feedback. Ensure required food-safety documentation and inspections are maintained. Employee Welfare & Discipline Maintain a safe, healthy, and comfortable living environment for employees. Handle employee complaints, grievances, accommodation issues, and welfare concerns. Enforce camp rules, company policies, and disciplinary procedures. Coordinate with HR and project management regarding employee-related issues. Support emergency response and incident management. Compliance & Inspections Ensure all camps comply with applicable UAE labour accommodation, municipality, HSE, health, hygiene, and Civil Defence requirements . Coordinate government and client inspections. Maintain inspection records, corrective-action reports, permits, certificates, and compliance documentation. Ensure timely closure of observations and non-conformities. Maintain required accommodation records and registrations. Administration & Reporting Maintain accurate records of: Camp occupancy Room allocation Employee movements Camp assets and inventory Maintenance activities Incidents and complaints Catering and housekeeping Utility consumption Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly camp management reports. Monitor camp operating costs and identify opportunities for cost control. Maintain proper documentation for all camps. Transport & Logistics Coordinate with the transport department for employee transportation. Ensure accommodation capacity is aligned with project manpower requirements. Coordinate mobilization and demobilization of employees between camps and project sites. Vendor & Contractor Management Manage relationships with landlords, maintenance contractors, catering companies, housekeeping providers, pest-control companies, security companies, and other service providers. Monitor contractor performance and service quality. Ensure service contracts and maintenance schedules remain valid and up to date. Minimum Requirements Minimum 5–7 years of UAE experience in labour camp / accommodation management. Mandatory: Proven experience managing a minimum of 4 labour camps in the UAE. Experience managing multiple camps simultaneously is highly preferred. Experience in construction, contracting, manpower supply, facilities management, or industrial projects . Experience managing a large multicultural workforce . Strong knowledge of UAE labour accommodation requirements and camp operations. Experience coordinating with Municipality, MoHRE, Civil Defence, HSE, and other relevant authorities. Good knowledge of housekeeping, catering, maintenance, security, transportation, and employee welfare. Good knowledge of MS Office, particularly Excel and Word . Strong English communication skills; Hindi/Urdu is an advantage. Strong leadership, administration, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Preferred Candidate Profile Mandatory: UAE labour camp management experience Experience managing 4 or more camps Multi-camp operations experience Large workforce management experience UAE compliance and inspection experience Strong knowledge of accommodation, catering, housekeeping, maintenance, and welfare operations Preferred: Construction/contracting company experience Experience managing 1,000+ workers Experience supervising Camp Bosses and camp support teams Experience with government and client inspections UAE driving licence is an advantage Key Performance Indicators Camp compliance and inspection results Employee welfare and satisfaction Camp cleanliness and hygiene Maintenance response and closure time Occupancy and room-utilization efficiency Catering and food-quality standards Cost control Timely resolution of employee complaints Zero major HSE or accommodation violations Consistent standards across all 4+ camps Work Location: In person
