Applies standard techniques, procedures, and criteria to perform assigned tasks as part of a broader assignment. Exercises limited judgment on details of work and in application of standard methods for conventional work. Responsibilities & Duties Under minimal supervision, carries out a variety of moderately complex to complex drafting assignments, exercising considerable to extensive latitude in the use of initiative and independent judgment. Prepares layouts, drawings, and designs according to engineering specifications using CAD software. Retrieves information from file and displays on computer, using required computer language. Types commands to rotate or zoom-in on display to redesign, modify, or otherwise edit existing design. Displays final drawings to verify completeness, clarity, and accuracy. Types commands to transfer drawing dimensions from computer onto hardcopy, using peripheral equipment. No managerial responsibilities at this level. Receives close supervision on unusual or difficult problems, and general review of all aspects of work. Performs any other related duties assigned. Skills & Competencies Possesses effective oral and written communication skills. Interacts with other staff. At least 3 years of experience. With at least 50 hours of relevant training in the last 2 years. Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Architecture (that includes computer-aided drafting or design), or relevant field from an accredited college or university. Must attain Curriculum-inclusion or Certificate of Completion in Autodesk/TESDA.
