# CAD Draftsman – Cabling & ELV Services **UNITED SECURITY GROUP** · Abu Dhabi · `On-site` 🕒 **Статус:** *Опубликовано: 4 дня назад* · *Источник: Indeed* --- ### About the Role Responsible for preparing technical drawings and layouts for structured cabling, fibre optics, ELV, and other low-current systems , ensuring drawings comply with approved designs, project specifications, consultant requirements, and UAE standards. Key Responsibilities - Prepare detailed AutoCAD drawings for structured cabling, fibre optics, ELV, and ICT systems. - Prepare floor plans, cable routing layouts, riser diagrams, schematics, rack elevations, and typical details. - Develop layouts for Cat 6/Cat 6A, fibre optics, CCTV, access control, telecom, SMATV, PA/BGM, intercom, and other ELV systems . - Prepare MDF/IDF/TR layouts, rack layouts, patching diagrams, cable schedules, and termination details. - Update drawings based on engineer/consultant comments and approved design changes. - Coordinate cabling and ELV layouts with architectural, MEP, civil, and other services . - Prepare shop drawings, coordination drawings, and as-built drawings. - Maintain drawing registers, revisions, and document control. - Support preparation of BOQs, material take-offs, and cable schedules where required. - Attend site surveys and update drawings based on actual site conditions. - Incorporate consultant/client comments and ensure timely resubmission. - Coordinate with engineers, site teams, subcontractors, and project management. - Ensure drawings follow UAE project requirements, consultant standards, and applicable TDRA/ELV requirements . Requirements - Diploma/ITI or relevant technical qualification in Drafting, Electrical, Electronics, Telecommunications, or related field . - 5-6 years of experience in cabling, ICT, ELV, or MEP drafting, preferably in the UAE. - Strong proficiency in AutoCAD . - Experience preparing structured cabling and ELV shop drawings. - Good understanding of fibre optics, structured cabling, containment, racks, pathways, and ELV systems . - Ability to read architectural, MEP, civil, and engineering drawings. - Knowledge of UAE consultant/authority drawing requirements. - Revit/BIM and Navisworks experience is an advantage. - Good attention to detail, coordination, and time-management skills.
