Butchery Manager

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Butchery Manager to lead our talented team and drive the success of our butchery department. About the Role: This is a hands-on leadership position where you will be responsible for the day-to-day operations, performance, and future direction of our butchery department. You will work with a supportive team (butchery team and management) to maintain the highest quality standards while bringing fresh ideas to the table. Key Responsibilities: Leading, developing, and mentoring your butchery team Overseeing stock levels, ordering, and supplier relationships Maintaining food safety and health & safety compliance Managing department costs, sales, and gross profit targets Planning and executing promotions and production schedules Managing staff rosters and supporting recruitment Cutting, slicing, and preparing meat to our quality standards Creating eye-catching displays and driving merchandising standards Continuously improving systems, processes, and customer experience About You: We are looking for someone who brings experience, energy, and a passion for quality. You will be someone who thrives on responsibility and enjoys building a strong team culture. What you will bring to the role: A trade-qualified butcher with leadership experience (Manager or Assistant Manager level) Strong attention to detail and a passion for quality Creative flair for displays and promotions Excellent organisational and planning skills Great communication and leadership abilities Flexible and reliable – early starts and weekend work are part of the role Comfortable with technology (SAP/Excel experience preferred – training provided) Physically fit and ready for a fast-paced role What’s in it for you?
