We specialize in kitchens, bathrooms, additions, ADUs and complete home remodeling. Our goals include improving our internal systems, strengthening accountability, expanding into additional locations and building a leadership team that can support continued growth. Position Overview We are seeking a strong, modern Business Operations Manager to oversee office accountability, sales follow-through, project readiness, internal systems and client experience. This person will work directly with the owner and have meaningful authority to make operational decisions and approvals. The successful candidate will identify problems, develop solutions, assign responsibility and follow through until the work is completed correctly. This is not an administrative assistant or order-taking position. We need a proactive leader who can hold employees accountable, improve how the company operates and help prepare us for future growth. The Business Operations Manager is not expected to personally complete everyone’s work. Their responsibility is to ensure the appropriate team members complete their responsibilities accurately and on time. Primary Responsibilities Lead daily office and sales accountability Schedule and run structured weekly meetings Assign responsibilities, establish deadlines and track completion Ensure project books are accurate and completed on time Track designs, selections, client approvals and production readiness Ensure sales-to-production handoffs are complete Confirm materials and deliveries are properly handled by the responsible team members Follow up on unanswered questions and unfinished assignments Monitor client communication and ensure customers receive timely responses Serve as an escalation point for customer concerns Track warranties, punch-list items and unresolved client issues Work with production leadership to improve project completion and customer satisfaction Improve internal systems, workflows and communication Implement dashboards, scorecards and performance reporting Identify opportunities to use AI and automation Make routine operational decisions and approvals within established guidelines Bring significant decisions to the owner with facts, options and a recommended solution Provide the owner with a clear weekly operations report Business Growth and Improvement After strengthening the company’s internal operations, this person will also help identify opportunities for continued growth. Responsibilities will include: Identify potential new business opportunities Research potential markets and future locations Evaluate opportunities to expand services Analyze lead sources, sales performance and project profitability Identify missed opportunities within current leads and customers Research competitors and remodeling-industry trends Help develop strategic referral relationships Recommend new technologies, systems and automation Evaluate new ideas based on expected cost, risk and return Present growth opportunities to the owner with a recommended action Help implement approved initiatives and track results Assist with planning and launching future locations Required Qualifications At least five years of operations, project-management or business-management experience At least two years of experience directly managing employees Proven ability to hold employees and department leaders accountable Experience improving company processes and workflows Experience implementing or improving a CRM, project-management platform or business tracking system Experience running structured meetings and tracking assignments through completion Strong customer-service, negotiation and conflict-resolution skills Strong written and verbal communication Ability to manage multiple departments, priorities and deadlines Comfortable making decisions without waiting for constant direction Comfortable working directly with a business owner Strong technology skills and a genuine interest in modern systems, automation and AI Ability to work full-time in our Livermore office Valid driver’s license for occasional local jobsite or client visits Preferred Qualifications Experience in residential remodeling, construction, homebuilding or home services Experience with kitchens, bathrooms, cabinetry or design-build construction Experience managing designers, salespeople, project coordinators or office employees Knowledge of selections, materials, project readiness and production handoffs Experience handling warranties and customer escalations Familiarity with Jobber, Monday.com or similar platforms Experience with job costing, change orders and profitability reporting Bachelor’s degree in business administration, operations management, construction management, project management or a related field Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus A bachelor’s degree is preferred but not required. Significant leadership and operations experience in residential construction, remodeling, homebuilding or home services will be strongly considered.
