We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Business, Equity and Financial Analyst to intern with our innovative business advising team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting quantitative analysis, financial modeling, and forecasting to support our and client business objectives. This role requires a strong understanding of corporate accounting principles and the ability to leverage business intelligence tools to drive insights and make recommendations. Equity Research Focus Conduct qualitative and quantitative research on companies, industries, and markets. Build and maintain financial models (DCF, comparables, precedent transactions, etc.). Analyze company financial statements, earnings reports, and market trends. Prepare investment reports, pitch decks, and summary memos for internal stakeholders. Monitor and track news, earnings releases, and macroeconomic developments impacting portfolio companies. Duties Conduct financial forecasting and budgeting to assist in strategic planning. Collect and analyze data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement. Utilize Power BI and other business intelligence tools to create comprehensive reports and dashboards. Perform quantitative analysis to evaluate financial performance, including profit and loss statements. Develop financial models to support decision-making processes across departments. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather insights and provide financial guidance. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and prepare regular updates for management. Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports in compliance with corporate accounting standards. Skills Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Accounting, or related field. Proficiency in Excel for data analysis, modeling, and reporting. Strong knowledge and interest of financial planning principles and practices. Experience with data collection methods and techniques for accurate analysis. Knowledge of how to perform primary and secondary research is paramount. Ability to perform quantitative analysis effectively, providing actionable insights. Understanding of corporate accounting practices is helpful but not required. Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication skills for presenting findings clearly to stakeholders.
