Business Development Manager – Subsea Services

Principal Roles and Responsibilities: · Identify Opportunities: Identify and capture new business opportunities for the offshore oil & gas and/or subsea services industry, including deepwater regions. · Promote Capabilities: Promote the Company’s subsea services capabilities—including IRM (Diving and ROV-assisted inspection services, and Advanced NDT)—to key clients across the Asia-Pacific region. · Revenue Generation & Account Management : Own the full sales cycle—from aggressive lead generation to final contract award—for the offshore oil & gas and/or subsea services industry (subsea inspection campaigns, ROV operations, etc.). · Client Engagement & Network Activation : Liaise with clients at all levels, leveraging an existing network across Major Operators (IOCs/NOCs), EPIC Contractors, Tier-1 Subsea Service Providers, and Vessel Owners/Operators to establish long-term commercial partnerships. Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including PETRONAS Project Teams, Marine Operations Leads, and procurement heads. · Technical Tendering & Proposal Preparation : Lead the preparation of competitive technical and commercial proposals, ensuring full compliance with Client requirements and IMCA guidelines (where applicable). · Document Review: Review all market surveys, pre-screening, client RFQs, ITTs, scopes of work and tender documents, · Administrative & Commercial Execution : Fulfill all administrative tasks related to the issuance of business agreements, non-disclosure agreements, frame agreements, and commercial contracts. · Market Intelligence & Surveying : Carry out continuous market research, competitor analysis, and customer surveys to identify emerging offshore and subsea market trends. · Strategic Alignment : Ensure that all subsea business development plans are aligned with EW’s policies and strategies, prioritizing quality, cost efficiency, and maximum market impact. · Reporting & Collaboration : Provide the Management Team with regular updates on critical pipeline activities, market intelligence, tender statuses, and sales forecasts with support from technical and operations teams. · Regional Business Travel : Liaise, meet, and present directly to regional clients to better understand their subsea and operational needs, traveling within the Asia-Pacific region as needed. Required Education and Experience: · Possess a minimum qualification of a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Marine, Naval Architecture, Oil & Gas) or a Business discipline · 5+ years of proven business development or commercial experience specifically within the offshore oil and gas or subsea services industry. · Deep understanding of subsea operations, including ROV/AUV operations, commercial diving, SURF installation, and well intervention. · Established and proven network of contacts within regional operators (PETRONAS Carigali, PTTEP, Hibiscus, etc.) and Tier-1 subsea contractors. · Strong track record of securing high-value offshore contracts and managing key regional accounts. Required Knowledge and Skills: · Strong familiarity with PETRONAS licensing, SWEC codes, and SUS (Subsea Services) vendor requirements. Core Soft Skills · Strong negotiation skills with a track record of closing multi-million dollar offshore service contracts. · Excellent command of English; proficiency in Bahasa Malaysia or other regional languages is highly advantageous. · Willingness and ability to undertake regional and occasional outside-region travel. Pay: From RM15,000.00 per month Work Location: In person
