# Business Development Manager – Homeowner Partnerships **Short mid STAY** · Los Angeles, CA · `On-site` 🕒 **Статус:** *Опубликовано: сегодня* · *Источник: Indeed* --- ### About the Role Job Summary STAY is entering an exciting growth phase, and we're looking for a driven, results-oriented Business Development Manager to help expand our portfolio of short and long-term rental properties. This is an individual-contributor, in-office role focused on identifying, pitching, and onboarding new homeowners onto the STAY platform. We're looking for someone who understands the short-term rental / property management business, thrives on a base-plus-commission structure, and can close deals with confidence and integrity — someone who wants to grow their own earnings as we grow the company. Responsibilities Proactively identify and reach out to prospective homeowners to bring their properties onto the STAY platform. Present STAY's property management services clearly and persuasively, addressing owner questions and objections to close new partnerships. Negotiate and finalize property management agreements with homeowners, ensuring all commission and fee terms are properly documented in writing. Collect commission fees from homeowners at the time of signing wherever possible, in line with company policy. Maintain accurate, up-to-date records of prospects, active negotiations, and closed deals. Work closely with the operations team to ensure a smooth handoff of newly onboarded properties. Meet or exceed monthly targets for new property acquisitions and portfolio growth. Report pipeline status, closed deals, and monthly performance to management. Skills Proven experience in sales or business development, ideally within real estate, property management, or short-term/vacation rental industries. Real estate agent experience or licensing is a strong plus. Strong negotiation and closing skills, with the ability to structure and finalize agreements confidently. Excellent communication skills, comfortable engaging directly with property owners at all levels. Self-motivated and results-driven, with a track record of performing well on a base-plus-commission structure. Highly organized, able to manage multiple prospects and deals simultaneously. Familiarity with the vacation/short-term rental market is a strong plus. Compensation & Terms Base pay: $750 per week — a solid, dependable base for a full-time in-office role. Commission: $500 per standard property signed, $1,000 per luxury property signed. Performance bonuses: $400 for properties earning up to $20,000/month, $800 at $20,000+, $1,200 at $30,000+, and $1,600 at $40,000+ in average monthly earnings — rewarding you for bringing in higher-value listings. Payment terms: Commission is paid immediately when collected upfront from the homeowner at signing. Where it isn't collected upfront, commission is paid once the property begins generating rental income. Earning potential: With base pay plus commission, motivated Business Development Managers can make $3,500+ per week — and the more (and higher-value) properties you close, the more that upside grows. Work arrangement: In-office, not remote — join us at an exciting stage of growth. Job Type: Full-time Pay: $700.00 - $3,500.00 per week Work Location: On the road
