Business Development Manager
Client Acquisition Identify potential corporate clients and decision-makers. Prospect through cold calls, email, LinkedIn, networking, events, and referrals. Arrange meetings with HR, L&D, training managers, and business leaders. Present the company's training solutions. Sales & Revenue Generation Understand client training needs and recommend suitable courses. Prepare quotations and proposals. Negotiate pricing, packages, and terms. Follow up on leads and convert them into confirmed training programmes. Achieve monthly/quarterly sales targets. Training Needs Analysis Discuss clients' employee-development needs. Identify skills gaps and recommend relevant training. Work with trainers/consultants to customise programmes where necessary. Client Relationship Management Maintain relationships with existing corporate clients. Encourage repeat bookings and annual training programmes. Upsell/cross-sell other courses. Collect feedback and ensure client satisfaction. Training Programme Coordination Coordinate with trainers, operations, and clients after a programme is confirmed. Ensure training dates, participants, venue/online arrangements, materials, and other requirements are aligned. Resolve client issues when they arise. Market Development Research industries, companies, competitors, and training trends. Identify new sectors or markets to target. Monitor competitor pricing and course offerings. Reporting & Pipeline Management Maintain a sales pipeline and CRM records. Prepare sales forecasts and activity reports. Track leads, proposals, conversions, revenue, and client accounts.
