Specific Responsibilities: 1. Maintains business relationship with foreign suppliers and implements efficient supplier communication and feedback channels. 2. Provides document management support which includes the receipt, inventory, tracking, storage, retrieval, and distribution and updating of all supplier documentations before end of validity. 3. Manages samples requests for imported materials, tracks all samples received and provides timely evaluation feedbacks to suppliers. 4. Conducts research to develop new and alternative products and suppliers as per management direction. 5. Does research on market insights, industry trends and consumer demographics and communicates to concerned business units. 6. Analyses import data to identify competitors and business opportunities (e.g., products, suppliers, customers) and presents recommendations to concerned business units. 7. Collects commodity-pricing data for future trends, and price monitoring. 8. Liaises directly with relevant government agencies and ensures company licenses and permits are renewed before end of validity (e.g., FDA-LTO, BPI, SRA, CPRs) 9. Maintains current knowledge base of existing and emerging regulations, standards, or guidance documents and obtains and distributed updated information regarding domestic or international laws, guidelines, or standards; AND 10. Participates in reporting to concerned business units, including presentation and advice to address compliance challenges, recommend changes to company procedures in response to changes in regulations or standards. 11. Performs other job duties and responsibilities as may be required by his/her immediate head or for job development.
